Little Bradley....needing Prayers today!

He is at Mayo and they are doing a major surgery today. They expect this to be the 'tell all' surgery.

From Bradley's Carepage: (from yesterday)

"so much has happened! first he passed the hearing test yesterday w/ flying colors:) today we met w/ a team of doctors we will be working with. if we do nothing more even w/ radiation Bradley has a year at most to live. This surgery tomorrow comes w/ tons of risks due to the location of the tumor. They refuse to do percentages of any type as Bradley is unique and each case is that way. So, they is a likeliness w/ them going to try and get it all out that Bradley can be harmed w/ his vision, hearing and oxygen. However, hopefully w/ rehabilitation he can be healed. But no guarantees. This is the hardest decision ever for us. He's recovered before, not 100% but he has recovered to a certain degree. Please pray more than ever for tomorrows surgery as a certain percentage must come out or Bradley is on limited time here. If that is the case we will have to accept it but please pray that God is there tomorrow helping the surgeon, who does believe in God, pray for Bradley's complete healing and that they get the necessary amt of tumor out. The best outcome is if they can get it all, but it sounds like it won't be possible, but we need as much out as humanly possible and God needs to be there to help determine how much can be taken out and how much can be eliminated w/ radiation. It's so hard for all of us. His brother and sister is so worried about him and there is nothing we can do from here for them. Pray to keep them strong and brave. They miss all of us so much. Thanks again and we are off to enjoy some time w/ him before tomorrow. Thanks!"

As you can tell....he needs ALOT of Prayer Warriors today!!! Please send prayers for Bradley, the surgeons and his family.

I'm checking in, and wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone for all your support. We got the news on the road, while on the way to a windpower conference and the last fews days have felt pretty dark. I won't see Luna until Saturday, which feels weird since she's always gone with us when we traveled. It's truly a Mercury Retrograde moment, since this is old ground I have covered once before with our last golden. I'm trying to focus like a laser on the fact that she's feeling better for this day, and remind myself that the present is just that...a gift. Peppi, I'll check my mail as soon as I get home. David, I saw your post about Lucy and wanted so much to respond, but your story flooded me with my own memories of my last golden who had lung cancer, and I couldn't see the keyboard to let you know that. Please know you were (and still are) in my thoughts, even though I couldn't say so at the time. I'm so appreciative for all of you. I'm taking my girl swimming as soon as she can go; it's one of her favorite things to do and we're going to do it as much as we can while she feels like it. I keep looking for the blessings, and count all of you as mine.

Thanks everyone for your warm thoughts, good wishes and prayers. And I loved all the beautiful pictures. Unfortunately I am still in the dark. When I was sitting in the exam room, I just found out this doctor does not do bone biopsies. My GP sent me to the wrong specialist!!! I have to go up to Standford Hospital and see a bone cancer specialist and this time it will be surgery with me knocked out. Also found out with bone cancer they don't like to do needle biopsies because of contamination of the cancer cells in local area. So they go in and dig it out with a scalpel. They want to remove the whole tumor. Just called the Stanford specialist and he is booked up till the end of March. So it continues. I will just be sitting on pins and needles for the next month. Jody, they are at Mayo in Rochester, Minnesota, so it is only about 3.5 hours away. He is still in surgery as of 9:00 pm CT...and they expect a couple more hours. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts for his little boy and his family.

Oh poor guy!... On the subject of eating things, my granddaughter's orange tabby cat, Gary... he ate an entire package of 25 new hair ties. In the X-ray's his intestines looked like a braided rope. We forked out the 1200 for surgery and he recovered great. Then 2 years later he somehow got up under our daughter's sewing machine, pulled out and ate an entire bobbin of black thread so back for more surgery. They had to take his entire intestines out and lay them out on the table, 12 feet of intestines they said. They had to make small incisions every few inches, snip and pull the thread out. When they got up close to his stomach the last bit wouldn't come out. They looked in his mouth and it was wrapped around the base of his tongue. That surgery took a while to get over. He must of learned his lesson as that was the last of his eating things he shouldn't, that we know of anyway. But... this spring he somehow contacted a fungus infection in his lungs and didn't make it... after a couple more thousand dollars in trying to save him....
