OT my little Dog Maggie needs your prayers

I didn't think this would be seen on the conversation side in a timely manner so I put it here.

LONG long story short she is our 6 year old Min Pin she hurt her leg Tuesday am and I sat with her till yesterday afternoon when we found a new vet (Had a bad experience at our other new vets the week before for their annuals- the vets hygene practices weren't up to what we thought they should be anyways that is a long story in itself.)

We thought it was a muscle strain because there was no obvious swelling and in our manipulations we couldn't get an adverse reaction and as time went on she would occasionally bear weight but we found a great new vet and got her in yesterday afternoon and her Xrays are being sent off to a specialist today to confirm one of two possible diagnoses- she either has a strained ligament in her right front wrist or has the smallest of chip fractures. We are all praying for the strained ligament to be the case- much better prognosis if that is so. So please add her/us and this matter to your thoughts and prayers.

Hello Everyone, I thought the next time I signed on I would be sharing the news that we were in a room. We got moved to a room last night. I got a shower and 2 1/2 hours sleep. He kept complaining about his stomach was bloated and he was having a lot of stomach pain. This morning the first thing he said was that he felt worse than yesterday and he started running a fever and hurting in his left chest area every time he tried to breathe. Long story short- We are back in SICU. I got very upset at first and cried and cried. After praying and watching them work on him I realized that they had moved a little too fast moving him to a room before they made sure that everything was working properly. The Dr explained that when the kidney was injured it told the colon to shut down too. But, it didn't tell it to start back up when it started back up. That caused problems everywhere. Also, he has been in the bed too long and there is fluid in that left lung that has caused infection. Can't spell that other word!!!! Too little sleep! I do feel better about this move because this time they will take care of business all over his body and he will be ready to leave next time. Please keep us in your prayers. Has anyone heard from Judith? I've been praying for her but haven't had time to check any other posts. If anyone knows anything please let me know here. Thanks again for EVERYTHING. Prayers being sent for Jaiden. I looked thru the blog and shed a few tears. Oh, so hopeful for a complete recovery! Was she struck by a snowblower? Do you mean the large truck that drives thru the streets, blowing the snow to the side of the road? Did she have broken bones as well as head injury? I haven't seen this story, so just curious, and concerned. Please let us know if you hear any updates on her recovery. WE will keep her in prayer!!

I am so sorry to hear this news. We lose loved ones and it is difficult, but to lose a child - a little girl, is just so much of a loss. I pray that her family will find peace in some way very soon. I know that it will come - in the right time, it will come; I know as I lost my DD 13 years ago. I miss her dearly, every day, but the time has come that the memories bring peace and joy, and I smile. I send my hugs and best wishes to her family. I thank you also for keeping us all informed. gng

Thank you for this post. It's making me reflect about what is, and isn't, really important in my own life. Abigail's story was familiar to me but, like others, I thought she may have recovered. You sounded an alert today for many of us regarding pool safety. Of course, my good thoughts and prayers are going to you and Abigail's family.

I'll be saying my prayers for little Maggie. We've been very fortunate with our little minpin--she's been mowed down several times by our lab and hasn't come up injured yet. Their little legs are so fragile and slender I've been dreading the day something might happen.

Give Maggie a hug for me--I know they like to curl their little head up into your neck and hug back. She's a cutie.

Thank you soo much Girls The specialist said no fracture YAY!!! that means n osurgery at this point - just splinted for two weeks with an anti-inflamitory med. Lets hope she don't get friction wounds from the splint.

De that is soo cool that you have pins too I'd love to see pics and yup she loves to hug back.

Hi RaNae, I'm late to seeing this post but I'm glad all is well with your sweet Maggie. It's so tough when our dear pets have problems, especially since they can't "tell" us where it hurts.

Here's hoping the next two weeks go by swiftly and without any further injury for Maggie.

I'm glad Maggie is going to be ok.

Here's my little Spike (she's a girl-Red Spiked Heels) sleeping on her daddy. She turned 10 years old last week and is sporting quite a bit of gray hair.

Hi Ranae:

Very late to the thread here, but wanted to say that I'm very happy to hear that all's well with your little one. I have three dogs of my own (and am involved in animal rescue) and can certainly relate to the anxiety you must have been experiencing.

De Spike and Ginger are too cute!! Spike is just adorable she looks like such a big dog in the first pic lol.

Thanks for everyones prayers :-)
I wanted to say that Maggie had to go back to the dr's today and have her splint redone. All is well at this point then we go back thursday to get the splint off.
