OT: Prayers needed...

for a little girl who is only 8yrs. old. She was injured on Dec. 21st in a snowblower accident and is currently fighting for her life. I don't personally know the family but they live in the same town as my sister. The family is hoping for a miracle and would like all the prayers they can get.

If you go to the blog be sure to post a message for the family, as they read all of the posts to Jaiden.

Jenn, there hasn't been a blog update on her condition in awhile now. Do you know if there has been any improvement?

I hope she is able to recover completely. Sending good thoughts to Jaiden and her family.

I will for sure keep her in my prayers and thoughts, as well as her family. She is a beautiful little girl. I pray she heals completely.

Thank you for posting the article from the Union Leader. After reading the article from the newspaper last evening (The Cabinet)I was wondering what happened. It was a horrible accident. How helpless that person operating the snowblower must have felt at that moment. Extra prayers for them. My husband was in a crush trauma accident 6 years ago. Most people do not survive with the same injuries. We are thankful for each day. Remember to hug your loved ones and tell them each day how much they mean to you. Each day is more precious than we realize.

Hello Everyone, I thought the next time I signed on I would be sharing the news that we were in a room. We got moved to a room last night. I got a shower and 2 1/2 hours sleep. He kept complaining about his stomach was bloated and he was having a lot of stomach pain. This morning the first thing he said was that he felt worse than yesterday and he started running a fever and hurting in his left chest area every time he tried to breathe. Long story short- We are back in SICU. I got very upset at first and cried and cried. After praying and watching them work on him I realized that they had moved a little too fast moving him to a room before they made sure that everything was working properly. The Dr explained that when the kidney was injured it told the colon to shut down too. But, it didn't tell it to start back up when it started back up. That caused problems everywhere. Also, he has been in the bed too long and there is fluid in that left lung that has caused infection. Can't spell that other word!!!! Too little sleep! I do feel better about this move because this time they will take care of business all over his body and he will be ready to leave next time. Please keep us in your prayers. Has anyone heard from Judith? I've been praying for her but haven't had time to check any other posts. If anyone knows anything please let me know here. Thanks again for EVERYTHING. Thank you for this post. It's making me reflect about what is, and isn't, really important in my own life. Abigail's story was familiar to me but, like others, I thought she may have recovered. You sounded an alert today for many of us regarding pool safety. Of course, my good thoughts and prayers are going to you and Abigail's family.

Thank you all for your Thoughts and prayers they have helped me today. Brian does not see the doctor till Wednesday noon he did pretty good today he managed the pain alright. He called this afternoon thinking he will not have enough pain meds till Wednesday, I told him get through tonight he could call doctor in the monring. I do not think the ER thought it would be 3 days to see doc. But I know Dr. is waiting to see what the swelling is doing and it will be over 72 hours when he goes. I think he is also starting to realize he is gonna go stir crazy while this heals and I warned him it might be longer than 6-8 weeks. He said he will need a hobby then and wanted to learn to sew. lol I will let ya know the update... Nanci

Prayers being sent for Jaiden. I looked thru the blog and shed a few tears. Oh, so hopeful for a complete recovery!

Was she struck by a snowblower? Do you mean the large truck that drives thru the streets, blowing the snow to the side of the road?

Did she have broken bones as well as head injury? I haven't seen this story, so just curious, and concerned.

Please let us know if you hear any updates on her recovery. WE will keep her in prayer!!

TB, she was outside when her mother was using their snowblower. She somehow fell and got pulled into the blower. There was a Craigslist post linked on the Decorating thread jenanla had started with more information on her type of injuries, but when I went to link it here, it's been flagged for removal.

Hoping the New Year brings good news for her family.

I don't pull this part of the website up much anymore. Even with that we just got home and I was still drawn to your prayer request. 10 days into this and it can't be anything but unimaginable for Jaiden's family. My prayers are with Jaiden and her family.

Thank You everyone for your prayers for Jaiden and her family. I too am waiting for updates, as she is always on my mind. Hopefully no news is good news.

Jaiden's injuries are due to clothing being pulled into the snowblower restricting oxygen to her brain (hypoxia). Children are resilient so let's hope her age plays a part in her road to a full recovery.

We'll continue to lift her and the family up in our morning devotion. Miracles do happen. We just saw Mark Schultz in concert a couple of weeks ago. "He's My Son" is living proof that prayer works.

I just wanted to update those of you who have been praying for Jaiden and her family. I read on the blog http://www.jaident.blogspot.com/ that Jaiden was having another MRI today. Hopefully the family will recieve some positive news. Let's continue to send our well wishes.
