Say a little prayer please

DGD Bailey was in ER last night. She had her tonsil's out last week Wednesday, and spiked a fever yesterday of 102.7 so they took her to the ER. She has an infection in her throat. (She'd been on antibiotics, but obviously they didn't help). Took 4 people to get the IV in her (not a cooperative sick 6 year old), but she got fluids--she was starting to dehydrate--and IV antibiotics, and after about 5 hours (and they got her in right away, LONG night for Mom and Dad) she got to go home. They left the IV in just in case she needs more antibiotics via IV today. This easy surgery just hasn't been so easy for her.

Poor little Bailey; that was not a good thing for her. Hopefully, she will be feeling better today.

Bless her heart. I hope the latest antibiotics knock that infection out fast. I'll keep little Bailey in my prayers.

sorry the pic is fuzzy, she was moving fast! She keeps very busy eating (but still no yogurt; vickie's family must not be the only non-yogurt-eating critters!), playing, & sleeping. & growing: She likes to sit in my lap while I'm at the computer, & she's already so long that I have to sit on one edge so her back end can rest on the other side of the chair!

Thanks. My other brother called after David came home from the appointment. He is already looking for another spaniel. He said something about the vet knowing someone who had some. I'm glad he's getting another dog. He lives alone and Brutis was the only other one in the house with him. ) :

I'm so sorry to hear about Bailey's troubles. Just goes to show that there is really no 'simple little operation' I hope the new antibiotics do the trick and she us herself again. Dottie
