Pale warm green paint color for a dark guest bedroom?
Comments (7)I was thinking Saybrook sage or grecian green by Benjamin moore (only brand of paint I'm very familiar with). I am not sure if these are necessarily warm, I've always had a hard time deciphering between warm and cool unless it's very obvious. They might be more gray than you'd like. If so then check out Paridot and Spring green in this link http://www.ellenkennon.com/naturespalette.htm I would think a warm green would have more yellow in it than blue. I hope the link below can help you out! Here is a link that might be useful: Shades of green...See MoreLooking for ieas for sophisticated lavender and green girls' room
Comments (10)I love purple in ALL its forms, and green goes so lovely with it. I know you said sophisticated, but don't know if you meant more modern, or just not girly. Here's a few things I found: http://www.rosenberryrooms.com/purple-lavender-kids-room.html (There are some girly things, but they have some pretty lamps and chandeliers that might prove inspirational.) http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmgrl/index.cfm?page=all (This is all of PB Teens girls' rooms, and many of them aren't girly. None are necessarily the colors you want, BUT many use complementary colors which would be easy to change out to lavender/green. The DOTTIE comes in a purple/blue/aqua combo: http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmgrl/thmgrluld/index.cfm They also have several that use white linens with accent colors, which you could also do, like: http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmgrl/thmgrlbrs/index.cfm http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmgrl/thmgrlgng/index.cfm http://www.pbteen.com/gift/thm/thmgrl/thmgrlbcp/index.cfm (A lot of these come in purples and greens.) This is a sitting room, but a little more elegant with the color scheme: http://www.ointeriordesigns.com/images/oprah1.jpg Here's one I found at Rate My Space (though maybe too girly): http://scripps-content.communicationsmgr.com/pcsupload/f6372f89-a483-4462-a489-e67aef704996_player.jpg Well, it's time for lunch. Hopefully some of those will inspire you! (I may look around some more, since what's not to like about purple and green?!) ^_^...See MoreCan Heywood Wakefield work in a green bedroom?
Comments (5)Les, You correctly point out that any color wood will stand out in a black and white scheme. That probably would have been a better question for me to ask: what kind of wood dresser would work best in this color scheme? I just don't know if I want a room full of painted furniture, although as I stated earlier, that seems to be what works best in the pictures I've seen. I like your idea of a chair with wood trim that would tie in with the color of the chest. I could do that, although it will mean hitting the stores again shopping for something suitable (never a hardship lol) instead of using what I have. I already have a small mid century white vinyl chair I was going to use in there. That was one thing I liked about this bedroom scheme. Aside from a chest of drawers or dresser, I pretty much had all the pieces I needed right there in my house, down to the black and white bedding. This chance to buy the H-W chest has thrown me and my bedroom scheme for a loop. :) You're probably also right that the style may not mesh with the more modern look of the color scheme. At least I think that's what you meant. I'm thinking with my heart and not my head right now, because I've always wanted to own some H-W furniture, so I'm trying to make it work somewhere it may not go. Thanks for giving me a lot to think about!...See MoreNW Facing Bedroom: BM Sea Haze, Beach Glass, Misted Green?
Comments (0)Needing help with my NW facing bedroom. I recently just painted it Wedgewood Gray. Although I like it somewhat, its just too blue for my taste and I'm looking for something a little more muted/neutral with a bit of personality. I recently just bought this new bed down below with white linen curtains. I'm flexible on the bedding but looking for something neutral for that as well. My floors are cherry red. I also have a black wrought iron vanity, and a built-in closet with white shelves. New Bed Anyone have any success with these colors? Any other color recommendations based on my room description? I'm trying to go for something serene but sophisticated. And also trying to create a tropical, coastal, Mediterranean feel. Its been difficult finding a good color for a north facing bedroom because the lighting has the potential of making colors look either too light or too drab. Thanks!...See Moremegsy
