Favorite beige Baked Scone Behr The main areas of my house hallways etc. are painted this color. This is the one color I always come back too. In all my houses there is something about this color. The way the light hits in the morning or evening light melts the color to feel warm, gentle and always light. I have two story windows so there light is always coming in. I love this color. misstifyftl-I have camouflage througout my main floor. I had brought home so many samples and when I painted a large portion on my wall of the camo I instantly liked it. I love how it goes with silver, white, black , wood toned frames. It seemed to be the neutral I was looking for with some color. Then I got it all on the walls and thought it looked yucky. I hired a designer to help me out. I too do not like too much color. I almost painted my home RH silver sage because I love it. But in my home all of my favorite colors took on too much color and looked dark or too deeply pigmented. I've decided that my favorite colors will be used as accents and that it's not about color necessarily it's how you layer and add texture through accessorizing. I'm no designer this is just my opinion. Back to the designer-She suggested SW sea salt for my kitchen to flow with the camo, however I have an open floor plan and this was to flow with some blue and cream pinstripe curtains in the living room. Or she recomended BM silver marlin depending on the shade of blue in the fabric. So I'm assuming these colors go. Also, check out BM manchester tan and BM muslin. The gal at my local store, who is amazing with color, suggested these to go with camouflage. If you'd like I can post pics but will have to get back to you as I'm in a little hurry right now. Oh and by the way the camouflage has really grown on me. There are some times of the day where I don't love it depending on the lighting and other times of the day when I love it. I used Beacon Gray in our bedroom and I'm very happy with it. Our bedroom tends to be dark in all but the earliest morning. It faces the east, so we get the morning sun, but by the time it's mid morning, the sun is high enough to be blocked by the trees, so there's a kind of moodiness to the light, which I happen to love. The wall color leans to the blue tones in the sun, but is grayer in the darker times. I do feel it's more blue than gray, but I don't think it's a baby nursery tone. I wonder if it would read more blue than gray by being next to true gray carpeting and drapes though? My furniture is dark mahogany in color, but the trim and moldings are a creamy white from Farrell Calhoun called Vanilla Bean, which looks fantastic next to the Beacon Gray. The overall effect is calming and peaceful. My husband says the room calms his mind after a day of number crunching. He's an accountant. I was swimming in blue and gray paint samples and couldn't make up my mind at all. But the way I did it was to paint poster boards with the different shades that I was considering. I hung them up all over the room, moving them with the light at different times of day, and seeing how they looked with the trim and different furnishings. It really helped me to narrow it down to one color. I'm not at home right now, so I can't take a better picture, but I've got one I can upload right now. The angle is terrible, though.

I'm considering BM Nob Hill Sage for my dining room. What you see on this wall is a true sample of the color (from samplize. The room next to it is painted in Sea Salt, and you can see that Nob Hill Sage is definitely greener, with a warmer tone.
