Pale warm green paint color for a dark guest bedroom?

I have a guest bedroom which has a window but doesnt get much direct light at all. The drapes are off white. The bedroom set is espresso colored dark wood with contemporary and clean lines. I am hoping to do it a pale but warm green color and do the attached bathroom (which has a skylight and is nice and bright) a darker more medium toned green.

Any recommendations for paint colors for the bedroom and/or the attached bathroom? I would prefer Benjamin Moore colors as they are more easily available than SW / C2 etc out here.

I was thinking Saybrook sage or grecian green by Benjamin moore (only brand of paint I'm very familiar with). I am not sure if these are necessarily warm, I've always had a hard time deciphering between warm and cool unless it's very obvious. They might be more gray than you'd like. If so then check out Paridot and Spring green in this link

I would think a warm green would have more yellow in it than blue.

I have been trying to figure out a warm pale green for my foyer, but it gets a ton of light. One color, that I came across, was Castleton Mist. A yellow green that looks lovely in a bedroom, but I've decided it's too bright for my very sunny foyer.

I love love love my BM gray owl (in the aura matte finish) bedroom-- it is a very light gray takes on a blue tone in my room but ever so faint and ethereal. My floors are a medium oak. Annie has a point about selecting bedding etc but I did not do that for a few reasons-- mostly, because I like to change bedding up and also, I needed to paint the house before I had everything settled. So far, it's worked well with anything I've tried. I couldn't be happier with it. It gives my smallish, dark room a cheery and fresh feel. I don't think I have any photos that do it justice but I'll try to scout a few out. Note I also tried BM Gray Cashmere and thought for sure I'd go with that-- but it turned *too* blue. Gray Owl was perfect.

Holly-Kay - Always nice to see you too:) Guess what - you were spot on with your blue comment. DD is off at camp, and I really wanted to get this done so I picked out the green colors I disliked least (I'm bad, I know, but I just wanted to get it done!); painted the ceiling the light Seahorse (very pale, but I liked it), then went to get the wall paint, chose two shades up for the walls (cheerful Wales Green). Had just arrived home with the wall paint, when DD called, and I confessed. Her reaction? Not green, Mom, BLUE!, same dark blue as another room in the house. AARGH. So I will need to paint the ceiling (again) and buy more paint. My fault entirely. The hardest part is CLEANING the room so that I can paint. Anyone in need of a gallon of Wales Green? Or even better, can my local store take the green and get to a desired much darker blue? sas95, kswl, peony4, thanks for the suggestions. mtnrdredux - yes, my goal was to present choices with which I could live, but I really didn't like any. (An apricot would be fun, but the blue she's picked will go well, I think). busybee3 - her first choices were incredibly dark and saturated greens and blues. Lots of samples up on the wall, but fortunately she did not like any. localeater - I have left a fan deck out but there's not a lot of interest! TheFoxesPad - great picture, love it! If I might offer one tip... green was hard for us-until we changed the sheen. We kept trying so many different colors and it'd be close, but none were right for us until we tried, believe it or not, flat for this bedroom. Not that it's the be all and end all, it's after he got all the antiques and I have left over furniture. I just thought it was kinda like getting a red right. Except with reds, it has to have several layers to be right. Weirdness! Good luck.

Thank you, Tartanmeup. Your kind words about the art piece are so appreciated! We had placed the bed on the opposite wall where the dresser is positioned now, but I found walking into the room with the side of the bed in such an obstructive position upon entrance off-putting. Not having an on-going pathway threw me off. The overall feeling seemed cluttered. We also placed the bed in front of the window but it seemed a bit odd with the type of windows we have (vertical, crank-style); opening the windows would prove to be so challenging. Maybe, too, seeing the back of the headboard from the window view which is at the front of the house strikes me as a bit odd, more so than if this were at the back of the house. Mostly, it’s the window style that doesn't seem to suit having the bed in front of the that window. It just seems that the bed is best suited in this position so as to create more space. Thank you again!

I would suggest BM Camouflage. I find that in a dark room, the colors look darker. It's a nice pale green. (It's one shade lighter than Olive Branch). I also had BM Soft Fern in my last home. It's a nice color too. I had it with black and cream -looked great.

We'll look forward to seeing the results!

My bedroom is painted BM Fernwood green. I have dark cherry furniture. It has yellow in it and a touch of blue I think. Rosemary Sprig is also a nice green. Olive Branch might be too dark, but I do like it.

I also have my master painted in BM Fernwood. I have espresso finish dressers and dark floors. It does have yellow in it, but I don't notice any blue in it. It's lovely. I wish I had a finished picture of it, but this may help...

This is Fernwood Green by BM. I guess it does have more yellow in it. I must be staring at paint too much! Depending on the time of day it appears to have more yellow (second photo)
