Need paint recs for a small guest North East bedroom?
Comments (24)Unfortunately it looks like my bedding will not be here on time for me to pick a color from it dammit I've taken a couple picks but bc the room is so small its hard to photograph (smaller than 8x10,now more like 8x8 i think bc we had to take some of the room up for bathtub). My next post will have a pic of view from hallway, So technically, if I do paint that wall on the left of the window in an accent color, it can't be seen unless you step in it. I'm narrowing it down to for Philadelphia Cream on the walls I think and Cloud White Trim. I'm really leaning towards painting the ceiling Philly cream too. I really don't like white ceilings. I'm headed down to take a look at Summer Lime and Castleton Mist in an hour. Does anyone have anything else to recommend? I have serious color fatigue. Has anyone painted their ceiling philadelphia cream?...See MorePaint for Guest Bedroom
Comments (6)I love love love my BM gray owl (in the aura matte finish) bedroom-- it is a very light gray takes on a blue tone in my room but ever so faint and ethereal. My floors are a medium oak. Annie has a point about selecting bedding etc but I did not do that for a few reasons-- mostly, because I like to change bedding up and also, I needed to paint the house before I had everything settled. So far, it's worked well with anything I've tried. I couldn't be happier with it. It gives my smallish, dark room a cheery and fresh feel. I don't think I have any photos that do it justice but I'll try to scout a few out. Note I also tried BM Gray Cashmere and thought for sure I'd go with that-- but it turned *too* blue. Gray Owl was perfect....See MoreGuest bedroom redo around these 3 paintings....help!
Comments (9)You have some fun colors to work with! As suggested above, selecting primarily neutral finishes and textiles will allow the artwork to really pop. For a cohesive element, consider complimentary accent pieces such as throw pillows and lighting. Selecting pieces which are a bold combination of black and white will give your space a sophisticated, timeless touch while still pulling colors from your artwork. Comments (27)Continuing the edge combe grey into the bedroom and bath would give you a brighter room and a neutral backdrop to tie the spaces together. Then your art and linens would add the color which you could easily change. You could pick a shade darker off the paint chip if you didnt want the hall, bath and bedroom all the exact same grey. Do use bright or saturated hues in decor if you paint the walls all neutral....See MoreJ GB
