My son and his sweetie just painted the upstairs bath of their new house H2Ahh, but I haven't seen it yet. If I get there this week or over the weekend (and no one else has posted a pic for you by then), I will take a picture. It is a small bath with one window in a 1952 row house. Ellen recommended they paint the ceiling and the walls, so they did. DH thinks it makes the room dark (but what does he know? ha). I am betting I will love it.

I would say Wythe is more muted rather than bright. Did you put some samples up on the wall? The Rainwashed chip looks very similar to the Palladian chip.

My living room and dining room are Wythe Blue, and I don't consider it to be a bright turquoise. I did a small bath in Rainwashed in my old house... here's a picture. (Hmmm... the photo shows the paint much brighter than in reality. It matched the fabric background perfectly.)

Cyn427, I would appreciate it if you tell me how H20 came out and if possible a picture. But more importantly if it reads blue/green or grey. LOL, I am afraid it's going to be too light and your DH fears too dark.

Karen, how would you compare Wythe to Rainwashed..lighter I guess. I love how Wythe looks in your house but then your rooms are larger. I just don't want it to overwhelm a small room. I love your china cabinet. Is that an antique? I am looking for something like that, but only as a bookcase. Lovely. Thanks everyone.

I have Wythe Blue in my MBR (1 window) and it looks more green there. Will try to get a picture for you. The amount of light seems to be making a huge difference.

I recently painted a room in Rainwashed. Also had samples of Palladian and Wythe at home. Rainwashed is very close to Palladian. Wythe is a deeper, more intense color to my eye. Rainwashed and Palladian are lighter and have a more etherial feel (for lack of better description) while Wythe appears darker and richer. All are beautiful shades. My rooms are low-light, unfortunately, so all the blues look more intense in my space than many of the photos found online in which light, either from set lighting or natural light, soften and lighten them a bit.

EH's H2Ahh will read differently depending on your lighting. In my bathroom it was more green than I wanted, so I ended up with Aqua. It was beautiful in the hallway right outside the bathroom, so I was surprised it didn't work in the adjoining room.

Do you have a sample? Ellen's paints are truly wonderful. Samples are a must, IMO to really get a sense of how the color will play in your space.

Covingtoncat, Yes I have the large sample. I also have Aqua, Oasis and Azure. I think I like H20 ahh the best, but now I will go back and look at the difference between Aqua and H20.

Kareniz..I figured Rainwashed looked more like the fabric.

Scanmike, Rainwashed is lighter than Wythe Blue. I held up my swatch strip up to my Wythe walls, and the color under Rainwashed (Quietude) is a very close match for Wythe Blue. Hope that helps.

My china cabinet is an Ethan Allen piece; I think it's still available at the store. (I see them on Craigslist occasionally, which is where I found mine!) :)

I do know that Rainwashed is lighter. I have all the swatches. Just trying to make a final decision. I probably shouldn't look into it that much, since they are all beautiful colors.

Sis2two, it's some contractor color that was on every single wall (and ceiling) in our house when we bought it. I checked the containers in the garage, and it's something from Lowes - a Valspar paint. No name, though. If you'd like, I can take my BM fan deck and find a suitable color match, but I'm sure that there are better choices out there... it wasn't chosen to go together, but it wasn't awful, so we just left is "as is" for now. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

aarrgghh, scanmike, I just got back from the kids' new place and forgot to take a pic of the H2ahh! I even took my camera for that express purpose. Unfortunately, I took the dogs as well and the ensuing chaos with the three (our 2 and their 1) caused me to forget completely! Really, everywhere we went, all three were right there at our feet. Too funny.

Anyway, the color reads blue/green to me. I really didn't pick up grey with it. I will try to run back tomorrow to get a picture of it. I thought it looked wonderful. When I was in the room, it read blue, but from the hall and bedroom, the green was more apparent to me, so it looked blue/green. I didn't feel it was too light and it most definitely isn't too dark. Just about perfect, imho.

Thanks so much for thinking of me. Honestly, your opinion and comments are more important because a photo doesn't always capture the correct color anyway. I am pretty sure I am going with it after checking out so many different and beautiful blue/geens. I found so many I love that I think I will re-paint a few other rooms as well!
