I used SW Halycon Green in a bathroom.

Looks like you are leaning to the green side from the colors I recognize, but if you want to consider the grayer side, BM Beacon Gray is nice. The darker shades are November Skies and Oxford Gray.

I wanted a nice blue as well and like you I did not want baby or powder blue. I ended up w/Valspar Sea Salt Blue and I love it!

Palladian, Wythe, H2 ah and Oasis are all really good choices. I haven't noticed EK colors rendering darker on walls compared to chips, but if that's what you're feeling from them don't ignore your gut.

Thanks for the quick replies. I am not worried about the EK colors being too dark, but rather too pale. That's my main reason for not considering EK Gustavian Grey. It looks almost white to me but I see from your photo that it contrasts nicely with the white baseboard molding. I also forgot to list EK Sky but not sure how blue that will look. Thanks also for the Beacon Gray and Valspar Sea Salt recs. I don't believe I have those chips and I have thousands! Will definitely check those out. I may be painting another room a grey (not sure yet which one) so that is why I probably listed more blue green colors rather than blue grey ones.

Check out SW Oyster Bay. It's classified as a blue gray but there's a lot of green in it. The color one up from it (Comfort Gray) is another pretty color that fits with what you've described as your ideal blue. It's not a true gray.

BM Quiet Moments is my go-to soothing greyed blue-green. It was perfect in our last home's bedroom and bath. We will be using it again in those rooms of our build. No hesitation.

For our guest room, I want a blue green with a bit more punch yet not too too bright. I'm looking at Palladian Blue and Woodlawn Blue. If I was using SW, I'd look at Rainwashed.

FYI Babs, we have Palladian Blue in our master and in that room (south and west facing windows), it doesn't look green at all-rather, very very blue. I wish it did have green in it.

Hello - I just finished painting our master bedroom in Palladian Blue and I absolutely love it. It is such a warm cheerful blue with lots of green in it. Does not look baby blue at all...

We had sampled Wythe Blue (the next one down on the chip) but felt it was too dark for the room. I know it doesn't look dark on the card, but colors always look darker once on the wall. We do plan on using Wythe Blue for the master bedroom though.

Also, someone mentioned Beacon Gray above...currently my son's room is painted in Beacon Gray and we are not too crazy about it. We are looking to change the color of his room soon. I don't have a pic of it to post now but it is sort of a blah color to me - very gray with a touch of blue in it. At least that is the way it looks with the lighting in his room.

SW Rainwashed was also mentioned above... when I hold up the BM Palladian Blue chip up against SW Rainwashed, the colors look almost the same. So you might want to compare both of those.

Sorry - I meant to say in my post above that we plan on using Wythe Blue in our master BATHROOM...lol...I wish we could edit posts on here.

Now see! This is what my "New Build...crapshoot" post is about! Our guest room is has double sets of west and south facing windows and I've been planning on Palladian Blue. Even with sampling it on the wall, how am I to get a true read without our floors and lighting in yet?? Darn it.

Thanks for all the photos. It helps to see what it would look like. I do have a swatch of Rainwashed so I will go back and look at it. I also have Oyster Bay and Comfort Grey on the list. I think I have Quiet Moments somewhere. Thanks for the warning about Wythe. I have the same fear.
They are all so pretty but you never know until they go on the wall.

This is wythe blue. It's a really rich, deep, aqua-ish color.

I used glass slipper and santorini blue in our MB and I love it. It's very restful and calm.

Here is Wythe Blue is our basement. Very limited natural light via a small basement window. I'll admit I wasn't thrilled with the color on the paint swatch, nor was I thrilled with the sample swatch that I tested on the wall. But, went with it anyway and we love it!

I was thinking maybe Canardy Blue, which is an indescribable color.

I have BM Palladian Blue in my bedroom and love it. It is so serene. I don't think that Wythe Blue is dark at all. I'm considering it for another room

I have BM Gossamar Blue in my powder room. It's more blue than the green in Palladian Blue.

I should have mentioned that the Sea Salt Blue is a grey/blue. I passed over the little chip several times. I finally took it outside and I went right back in and got a sample can. Loved it and everyone who has seen the MB loves the color.

Quiet Moments is my favorite. A couple of other good ones besides what people have mentioned here are Gray Wisp and Wales Gray.

Grey Wisp is Restoration Hardware Silver Sage. I always loved walking in RH when they had it painted that color. I thought it might be too pale, but I will go pull it out now. Barvnvabeach, I do like Sea Salt. I have that paint chip. I like several on that strip. I like Wythe and Woodlawn. Wythe reads so differently in the pictures above. In one it looks brighter turquoise and the other (basement) more muted but deep. I kind of light the muted effect better for my room, but both are pretty. I am not sure if Quiet Moments is too pale. I like the depth of color in Wythe. Did anyone ever see BM Beach glass or Ellen Kennon H20 Ahh or Oasis? I will also check out Blue Smoke.

We have Beacon Gray in the Family room...vey soft color and I'm still really happy with it, but sometimes wish it had a little more gray in it. I've seen November Skies and very nice also. (next shade down following Beacon Gray)

For other soft blues with a touch of gray, maybe check out Ben Moore Iced Cube Silver and Marilyns Dress.

my favorites are BM Smoke, BM pale smoke, BM silver grey.

Ace Hardware is running a promotion most Saturdays this month to get a free quart of Clark & Kensington paint (some stores may have a limit of 40 quarts). I got my free quart last Saturday in Ace color "Suzy Q", which in my wall test looks similar to the pics of Palladian Blue or Wythe Blue (depending on lighting, and assuming my monitor is displaying accurate color). Suzy Q is a gorgeous grayed blue-green, but I'm not sure it goes with my bedding. Thank goodness for paint samples!
