Adding liquid to beef stew?

I'm having friends over for a casual dinner tomorrow night, so I made beef stew today to serve tomorrow. The problem is that the stew is VERY thick as there is hardly any liquid in it. It is more like Beef Glop!

How can I make it more stew-like? The original recipe was...

3 lbs. of beef

6 potatoes

4 carrots

1 c. wine

2 c. chicken stock

1 c. V-8

3T flour

(Plus various herbs and stuff)

Should I add 1/2 c. each of the wine and V-8 and another 1 c. of stock?

Should I do that NOW, as the stew just finished cooking and is going in the fridge to be reheated tomorrow OR do I add it tomorrow when I put the stew on to reheat?

I am afraid of adding too much liquid because I definitely don't want it to be soupy. I also know that the stew tastes better after being allowed to sit for a day so I am worried that adding the liquid is going to mess it all up.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Nicole
