Yes, Ashley made the tutu, go figure. She's crafty, didn't get that from me! She also made the cake pops, which I have failed at miserably. Her Aunt Amanda did the candy "spread", it was all the leftover Halloween candy, she figured it was a good way to get rid of it before Christmas.

Actually, the architect of all this pink frilliness was Ashley, the proud Mama. I only did as instructed, baking cakes, adding food color to bread dough and trying to figure out what combination of colors would result in cheddar cheese being pink, LOL.

Madi looks just like Ashley at that age and like her mother, has a mind of her own. Ashley is so getting her pay backs now. (grin)

We've got a new grandson due in two weeks. Her due date was a bit later but because of HBP the doctor will induce on 1-15-13 if she' not already delivered.

Finally! The pictures of the pink and purple food. Nah, what I really wanted to see was the kids and grandkids. But now that I have, I am sad. Maykala is getting so grown up. So is Bud, but she's more noticeable. It's a blink of the eyes isn't it?

The year-old princess is precious and Monkey Princess and Bud are so pretty and handsome as they are growing up. Looks like a fun time.....but what are you going to do next year?

jvanderh, the trick to pink macaroni and cheese is to put food coloring in the water when you bake the pasta, and more food color into the cheese sauce. Oh, and it helps to use white cheddar, gruyere and asiago, they're strong enough to taste like cheese, they melt well and they're white, LOL.

Madi (Ashley tells me it's NOT Maddie, LOL) started walking at about 10 months old. She's in a hurry and runs everywhere. Her mother was a "climber", I remember her pulling out drawers and climbing up like a ladder so she could sit on the counter and eat the butter. Ahem. The first thing Madi did with one of the presents was drag it over to a chair and use it as a step to get onto the chair and then onto the table where the cake pops were.

What am I going to do next year? Ashley is pregnant again, due in August. Since Bud is the only boy on both sides of the family, we're hoping for a boy cousin for him. The girls are "too bossy", he says. (grin)

Sharon, they are growing too fast. (sigh) Both Bud and Makayla will still sit on my lap, but they're getting too darned big to fit. Makayla is now 4'5". My Mother is 4'9". The Monkey Princess is working hard to outgrow the "Little Grandma". She's going to outgrow ME pretty soon. I'm sad...

I just love these glimpses into your life, Annie. I enjoy everything from your kitchen in the background to the the looks on the kids' faces. I still think Bruvver has one of the most rascally faces ever and I do think I see a resemblance to him in Madison. Watch out, Ashley.

That is a total over-the-top sugar fest. Just what every kid dreams of having. I think Madi is The Sugar Plum Fairy, with her December birthday, although I've never seen a fairy with pink bunny ears before.

Pam, I don't know where the heck the ears came from, she was SUPPOSED to be wearing that crown that Bud was modeling.

And yes, he IS a rascal...
