"Gourmet" vs. Popular

Numerous times for parties, I have set out a nice cheese tray with assorted crackers and breads ( and cheese knives)
This last party, no one touched the cheeses at all: white Stilton with cranberries, goat cheese with honey, brie wedge.
All perfect temperature and very nice.

The little smoky Pepperidge Farm puff pasty bites were gobbled up and so were the homemade spanikopita. The cheesecake went over well.

Maybe I virtually hang out with too many foodies, but why isn't the cheese ever popular? I'm never going to put out a cheese tray again. At least the I appreciated the leftovers!
I ate all the stilton and freezed the brie and goat cheese.
