Sick of it! Burned goo on my white Whirlpool electric cook top
Comments (11)A Richard ergo grip safety razor scraper is what I reach for first when cleaning any Ceran cooking surface. I run the blade over the entire surface, just like a wood plane, using both hands, from one front corner to the other. Then I lift the blade, go back to the start and shift over to the next "lane" and keep doing it until finished up on a lane from back corner to back corner. When the blade tells you it is finding something "good" to work on lane after lane it is useful to flip the razor over every couple of lanes. Also try scraping any areas that gave the blade a hard time earlier from front to back as well when finished to check that the resistance is gone. I know someone whose motto is: "A Ceran top and politics have a lot in common, both can seem quite clean but when you start scraping them you may be surprised at what shows up". Cerama Bryte should be the last cleaning step, not the first, and it should be buffed away before it is completely dry. There are quite a few substitutes like the eraser in a pinch. Vim works well but don't let it dry on you, and it leaves oily streaks that will buff away after left for a day or so or go away eventually on their own. A lightly moistened strong paper towel used with a bit of sprinkled flour is also effective....See MoreRelentless Night Cough/Post Nasal Drip

If you have reoccurring infections or infections that simply will not go away, then you likely have a biofilm in the infected area. Candida behaves much like a biofilm in this it is systemic and can spread all throughout your body. In order to get rid of biofilms in your nasal pasageways you need to be ready to go to war. The latest remedy, which people are swearing by that works, involves baby shampoo of all things. It's a 'surfactant' I believe is the word. And you use it in nasal irrigation: 1/2 table spoon of it in water, mix it with a neilmed rinse kit, use the saline packet that comes with it, and follow the normal directions. You can follow it with an allicin rinse as well. Allicin is the extract from garlic and has been shown to help breakdown and eliminate biofilms. You basically break open and pour one capsule (do not use the empty capsule) into the mix, add the saline packet, and use as directed. I believe that's it. In the meantime you'll want to think about fortifying your body from biofilms and candida (candida infections can be denoted by fungus growth in toenails, thrush on your tongue and throat, sinus infections, chronic fatigue, depression, dark circles under eyes, and many more). Grapefruit seed extract is really good for this. Buy somme Nutribiotics Grapeseed extract and pour a few drops in water in the AM and PM and drink it down. Also, any kind of citrus fruit extracts you can add to it. Agrisept L could be one of the greatest products of all time for breaking down biofilms in the body. This is just about an all in one anti fungul, bacteria, candida (yeast), and more. It's late and I'm getting choppy on the keyboard so be sure to google all of this stuff on your own to make sure I'm not missing steps, etc. Best!...See Morecat coughing and congested breathing...vet says OK
Comments (14)Sounds just like my cat, Mary, who has asthma. I brought her to an emergency clinic on a Sunday when her breathing was very labored. They were talking about all kinds of tests including the wash to pinpoint the problem. (huge $$$) To make a long story short, she has seasonal asthma. She's absolutely fine all winter and the first start of spring she coughs and her breathing turns into wheezing. I start her on predisone daily. The predisone is cheap and works great but ideally she should use the inhaler. It's a pain in the butt to deal with every day since I have to board her for vacation. I'd love to find out about the shots but my vet doesn't believe in them. My other 2 cats are fine. I'm in New England so now the windows are closed and no grass, trees, or flowers to deal with. I also no longer use any smelly cleaners, use dust free litter, and the house is smoke free. All these can be irritants. If treated it's not a death sentence. Check out the success story and information on Fritz the cat. I would definitely think about going back to the first vet. Here is a link that might be useful: Fritz the cat...See MoreAnybody have that nasty, long-lasting virus/cough last winter?
Comments (22)I called the doctor this morning. My fever is down completely, and my cough isn't nearly as bad. But my chest feels so congested, my head is beyond stuffed, and my throat is still awful. I had to walk across the road to the barn this morning, and that little bit of exertion was enough get me out of breath and in a cold sweat. So I called the doctor. The nurse said I definitely need an antibiotic. I think she based this on the stuff I had been coughing up for the first four or five days. They'll probably give me Zithromyacin, which is what I was going to get for the Babesiosis before I came down with this. Zith has been in the news lately for causing heart attacks. Normally that would put me off, but the risk is low and I would like to get both these things cleared up, or at least improved, if possible. Thanks, all!...See MoreLars
