The hybrid musks and polyanthas seem to have too much multiflora and are already well involved before the witches broom symptoms become apparent. Henry, I wish I were merely mistaking herbicide damage for RRD, but that is NOT the case here. I have an unopened bottle of Roundup sitting in the garage right now. I never got around to using it this year to keep the weeds down behind the barn like I usually do. And no neighbors have either. The big change in wind patterns in the last few years at my home was the clearing of a 40 acre scrub wood to the south and west of my property. Where it was 10-20 foot scrub maples and blackberry became someone's idea of a subdivision right before the real estate crash. Where before I'd get the wind blowing almost straight over my property, clearing those bit of trees and accelerating up the hill, now I get a bit of a swoop and drop in the main currents. Maybe if houses ever get built there it will change again. But with only 3 ever constructed, and those right at the property entrance down wind and not upwind, well, I can see the results. On a more positive note, General Schablikine survived his amputation last year, and is providing some stellar fall blooms, as is Colonial White. The teas seem to have done the best with the disease pressure, despite the loss of Mrs. B.R. Cant.

Michelle, The shape of your flower is right on, color just might temporarily be off. I bought a JL Supernova from Hawaiisandy on Ebay years ago. Well after waiting 4 yrs it bloomed, but the flowers were white and yellow like yours. I wrote Sandy and she stated she cut it from the tree and she was sure it was Supernova. I was offered another cutting, I told her I invested 4 yrs not including moneywater/soil/fert., that Id give it another season to see what would happen. Sandy said if it did not bloom with the correct color the next time she would send me a rooted cutting and I could keep the plant I had. Well sure enough the next year she bloomed hot rich pink. So you may want to see what happens, maybe it will change to red on the next inflo or seaon... Just my 02 cents... Good luck.. PS what does she smell like?? Queen of the bathroom!!! ha ha ha ha...gee thanks. This bathroom is our one and only...not easy to remodel with a family of 4 let me tell ya. The wall tile is Hakatai Ashland 1"x1" in Burnt Amber. The floors are 4"x4" red limestone with the glass inserts. The granite was the biggest pain. They wouldn't split the slab so we had to buy the whole thing. Only needed less than 1/3 of the slab. So what do you do with a big piece of rock? You beg your other half to build a piece of furniture! His first one. I think he did a great job :o) A note about the paperface tile: It came in 1'x1' sheets, but because of the weight I sliced them into 6"x6" manageable pieces. The first few sheets I had the thinset squishing through too, but knew I'd never finish having to scrape the groutlines out. So started to backbutter the tile instead...sped things up immensely. I'm assuming from what the OP said that they don't want or need hall access to a bathroom that one of the bedrooms isn't going to be used as a bedroom. I also LOL at how home builders are so overspecific in naming the rooms on their floorplans. Like everyone wants a game room in the middle of all the bedrooms and home office, just the thing to ensure a good night's rest or undistracted working at a desk. One small item I find really irksome in this floorplan: the door to the master bathroom toilet room is ideally positioned to (a) block the entry from the bedroom when open, which it assumedly would be when not in use, and (b) whack the person using the sink when unexpectedly opened from inside. Also, that door to the upper left bedroom is a weird one. Perhaps to keep it from blocking access to the J&J bathroom when open, it's hinged on what would otherwise be the wrong side. As it is, especially since the bedroom closet extends further than the door opening, the door must be opened an awkward 180 degrees to enter the bedroom from the hallway.
