I see you picked the Dijon - good choice! I had not seen it before and think its beautiful. (I did not like the Citron) Just for comments - l I think Cobalt blue is a classic sort of kitchen accessory color because over the years country kitchens, white cabs etc. come back into style and blue looks really wonderful with that. Also "yellow" sunny walls are popular in kitchens and blue looks good with that. I have the Flame and occasionally think I'd like to switch, but then change my mind. Its classic in its own right as one of the original colors of a pretty old name in French cookware - now too trendy for being copied by Rachael Ray, Mario Batali etc. but I like the sense of tradition it gives me and I believe orange is supposed to induce hunger? (not that I need any more of that:)

Dawn, you are liven' my dream. I would love to have that many cats, and room for outdoor cats. But I know it's a lot of work. Our four keep us slammed, and we insist on no cat smell in the house so that's constant box cleaning. Regarding pellets, you can use the commercial bagged kind like Feline Pine or you can use stove pellets. Some shelters have 'em dropped off half a ton at a time. My vet assures me there is nothing bad in the stove pellets; they are pure sawdust. I have not used them, but have used Feline Pine and liked it. There is another bargain option not mentioned here, which is chicken feed, or what the industry calls "layer crumbles." They are extremely safe and work like wood pellets in that the urine soaks the pellets and they fall to bits go to the bottom. Poop stays on top for scooping. Because they are cheap and safe, I keep them on hand, and use them routinely in my porch box. Indoors, they give off a sort of vitamin-supplement smell that I don't care for. The scent does not travel, however, and the feed does contain the urine odor. I would not call this a clumping litter, though some do. And you can, theoretically, flush it. Pros of using layer crumbs are -- very little dust, safe for your cats, safe for the dump, and as environmentally benign, I guess, as any litter. I don't live in an area where you can compost, but I guess with the poop scooped, they would be compostable? Look for them in 20 and 50 pound bags at places like Southern States or Tractor Supply. The dog house for chickens reminded me of when I had to get rid of my late father's giant satellite dish. The woman who'd bought my father's home insisted that it be removed because she thought it would attract lightning. Anyway, DH had remembered seeing an ad that requested the big dishes, and if given away, would be dismantled and removed. I called the number and explained that the dish had been working great before my dad passed away. So, when the couple came, I went to greet them, and in a mood to be truly charitable, graciously offered the satellite receiver and miles of cable for free. The woman very politely explained that the dish would be used as a shelter for goats--not for receiving satellite programming. BTW, I actually had a man give me $$ down on some trusses my DH no longer needed. I kept the manÂs down payment in an envelope and waited and waited for him to return. Three months later, another man who evidently had a very old stack of newspapers called to see if I still had the trusses. I did, and I sold them again. The first man never showed up, so I split that money and gave it to my two very happy kids.

Look for the features you want. I grill a lot of vegetables year round. I have a vegetable wok & a 12 x 16 vegetable cooker; they are black metal with small holes. I like the flat one better than the wok--it seems that only the veggies closest to the grill cook anyway. It fits 2-3 zucchini sliced or 2-3 chayotes (new grill favorite). Zucchini & summer squash do well cut in wedges also. Kabobs work great, but the tomatoes always fall off the ends. For chicken tenders (small pieces of skinless chicken breast) I like to line them up in a grilling basket and flip them all over at once after 8 minutes on a side; being next to each other keeps them from drying out on the sides. I like to nest shrimp together too--keeps them from dryng out. Pam makes a grilling spray that I use on the accessories. That being said, look for the amount of square inches of surface area you want. Stay away from the Sam's Club grill--it's big and has a big $$$; the problem is that you can't get replacement parts and you end up with a big, shiny shell in a few years. For Char-broil or Sunbeam or any others, look at the literature to see if you can get replacement parts easily. The burner (thing with holes) fills up with grease, burns out, and you end up with an uneven hot spot. Watch to see if grease can fall into those holes in the first place. That's when you need to get replacement parts. Our most recent grill is a Ducane, but I think Weber bought them out less than 2 years ago. I looked at my grill, but it doesn't list BTU's or anything. I prefer a shelf on the side & a side burner is something dh likes for tamales or fish soup. As far as timing goes, I have to get used to it for each grill--it must be a BTU thing--and how close the burner is to your food, and what high or low means...etc. With fish, other than shark, tuna or mackeral, I usually wrap it in aluminum foil. Reynolds sells a "Release" foil that foods don't stick to. Highly recommend it for fish on the grill. Oh, and fresh corn on the cob!! Can't wait: Take out the cornsilk; soak in water; then cook 10 minutes on each of 4 sides. By the last time, the shucks will catch on fire and some of the kernels will be slightly charred. Great in a black bean salsa! HTH
