I am having spaghetti, meatballs, green beans and iced tea. There is lemon cake for husband's dessert. What are you having this evening?

Pan broiled steaks,(out of propane for the grill so I have to cook them inside)baked potatoes and probably steamed broccoli with garlic butter.

DH found a new recipe he wanted to try and it was yummy! Sort of an Asian stir fry with chicken, lots of veggies and a sauce of peanut butter, curry paste, chicken broth and other wonderful flavors. We had it over rice, and a couple of cookies for dessert.

Your chicken sounds good, jasdip. I brought some Napa the other day, for a stirfry. I like it, when I can remember to pick some up. Hi, Kath....I'm so sorry that you resort to frozen dinners; that's not much fun and not healthy, if you do it often. I think that "just you" is important! But I have friends who stopped cooking entirely the minute they could. I appreciate that. Sounds like my kind of meal, satine! Almost any kind of meat tastes better with a salad under it, lol. Ellendi, leftovers are a treat, aren't they? Most of my meals are planned with leftovers in mind.

Some chicken things from the trader joes freezer case, not that impressed. And I used the spiralizer I got for Christmas to make zucchini noodles. I sautéed them in butter, olive oil and garlic. I thought they looked really pretty and tasted good. Kids not impressed.

We were going to have a cold dinner of last nights roast chicken leftovers, whatever else I could find in the refrigerator. Lots of odds and ends, berries, yogurt, blue cheese dressing and lots of salad fixings.... A friend down the street walked in a couple of hours ago and said it had felt like a 'chili' July day. He had chili in a slow cooker, and if you can believe it....the sour cream, shredded cheese, diced onions, hot sauce all in little bowls. Cornbread, butter, honey. I asked him why he thought he needed to bring cheese, onion, butter, honey to my house (it's not like cupboards are bare here ;0) and he said he just wanted to make sure everything was on hand. We dropped what we were doing (I was cleaning my office), we sat down, ate. We're having a group here for pastitsio, pizza, salad on Tuesday. I'd better call his wife and invite them too.

Harry's daughter and family are here and we had prime rib, roasted red potatoes and fresh green beans. Yummy!

We had chicken and Bisquick dumplings. steamed carrots. oven biscuits too. comfort food to the max.

I had chicken and dumplings, made in the crockpot at Ken's. Not as good as those cooked on the stove top.

I had an egg sandwich. I made it for lunch, and then forgot to eat it. Since I'm going out for both lunch and dinner tomorrow, I figured I'd better eat it tonight.

I'm making DH a mushroom, avacado, & tomato open face sandwich with melted cheese. Hotdogs & beans for me and some Macaroni & Cheese, & veggies.

We had Pappa Johns pepperoni/bacon pizza and cheesie bread.DIL's treat.As usual they forgot to bring the cheese sauce she paid $3.50 for! Wouldn't have been so bad but she orders from them several times a month and they always forget something.When she called they offered to bring it out or give her credit on her next order.She told them she wanted her money back and they brought it to her.LOL It is good pizza though and the cheesie bread is the best we have found.
