Because of the cleaning factor I either go with completely to the floor or high up off the floor, nothing in between. Too difficult getting the fur mice (cat toys) from under those small spaces.

You might want to check with kitchen cabinet stores. We put built in's that we bought from our kitchen cabinet manufacturer. They have several floor as well as wall cabinets to chose from. That way you can pick out what type of wood, color, configuration, that suits you. Of course you have to supply the desk top. We were lucky and found some inexpensive scraps of grainite for our desk tops.

I prefer no feet in the office in case of dropped missing papers and office supplies. Our office seems to be the dustiest of all the rooms in our house so I like it to be the easiest to swipe and clean.

Is your office floor carpeted or a hard surface? Our office furniture has about 3" high legs and sits on carpet...imposssible to vaccum under. (3 dogs!) We are replacing the carpet with hardwood shortly which will make it much easier to clean under. HTH

As far as suggestions...we bought our office furniture from Costco online...if you have a membership might be worth taking a look. Good quality stuff, and an excellent return policy if not. ;)

I have Bedford office furniture by PB. The top of the desk dents very easily and the edges where I seat have worn. My suggestion would be to get a piece of glass for the top of the desk.

I also have the PB Bedford desk. Have had for @ 5 yrs and no major issues with it. (I use a desk blotter so may help with denting)

I know may not be the best quality, but if you're looking for 'white' , you could also check out Ikea. They have great storage options for a home office. Not nearly as nice as what you'd get at Ethan Allen though!!

I hadn't really thought of the feet vs no feet thing, but if it goes straight to the ground, I wouldn't worry about cleaning underneath, lol. (well...periodically)

My opinion on feet? I trip over them, sometimes even my own.

My desk goes to the floor. I like that. No doggy toys underneath. They do get their toys and an occasional kibble under the chest of drawers in here, though. Then they have a great game trying to fish out whatever it is with their paws, their cute little doggy butts up in the air.
