It is snowing like mad here. I did go into work but my boss called at 1 pm. He thanked me and two others for coming and then told us to head home. That meant more to me than a bonus.

Dinner will be easy: Costco roasted chicken and roasted parsnips, carrots and little red potatoes. I bought the bird yesterday when I went for a gasoline fillup. I hate pumping gas in the snow or rain.

Today was grocery day for me. So tiring, but so necessary.

I mixed together a big salad for my evening meal. Lettuce, celery, onions, radishes, yellow grape tomatoes, blueberries, red grapes, walnuts. Did I whet anyones appetite? I also had a cup of chili.

No snow yet here in my part of Ohio.

What have I been doing today. Well, at 8:00 I had a dentist appointment, at 9:00 I had a Vet appointment to get Georgy up on all her shots so she can go to doggy camp tomorrow, at 10:00 I had to go to the library and pick up some books I had on hold, then I went to the indoor outlet mall, then the outdoor outlet mall, Walmart's, Kmart, and the second library to pick up another book, Kohl's, Target, Belk's and then because Georgy was such a sport about it, PetSmart so she could browse and smell everything in sight. At 1:00 I had an appointment for a haircut, got some gas stopped at a friends house to drop off a book and then I returned home at 2:30. I sat down and rested for a while, Just finished vacuuming the car and loading up my clubs and suitcases.

For dinner, there's not enough clam chowder (I think DH had some for lunch) so we will have some pizza. I am not messing up my kitchen. Then, I will tidy up our bathroom, vacuum upstairs and go to bed. I always say I never feel like I need a vacation until I get ready to go on one. It's all that running around tying up loose ends that does it. Now I need one!

We've been having wind gusts up to 50 mph. Noisey!

Golden Corral and mainly ate their country style fish pieces and a slice of chocolate pie.

Friend and I are going to Ashley's Mac's after zumba tomorrow., Newly opened locally owned restaurant.

I just have felt iffy all day, could have gone back to bed and probably should have. I will cook country style ribs in the oven, crowder peas, and maybe cauliflower.

Shirley, well yes, you certainly whetted my appetite. What a salad!!! And, of course, chili is always good. Glad you haven't had snow.

Georgysmom, I do the same thing--work my fanny off the week before vacation. I really like coming home to a clean house. Hope you have a wonderful vacation--and we WILL meet someday, I hope. It would be fun!

Oh my word, Glenda! I would hate to have to decide what to order from that menu. Everything sounds just wonderful. I'd have to study that menu really well before I went, or I'd change my mind a zillion times.

Raven, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Go to bed early tonight and, hopefully, you'll feel better tomorrow. I haven't had crowder peas in a long time. I don't really see them here in the "civilized" world. In Georgia they were everywhere.

Had a haircut today, then stopped at a dept. store to make a small purchase. Then saw some lighter-weight winter jackets in red, my favorite color! And drastically marked down from the original price. How could I resist? This is a practical jacket for me which I will enjoy for many years.

I wrote the link for the chicken/wild rice soup, but I couldn't get it to open. Tried several times, though. I have a good recipe from Jasdip, but it's cooked on the stovetop instead of the crockpot.
