Good News! Sounds like you are really making progress. Today as usual around here was canning. I got 7 more quarts of applesauce made. My supper was green beans with potatoes and biscuit dumplings and a fried chicken thigh, just water to drink. I am ready for bed.

patti, I'm off my nightly oatmeal, and I'm into this now, and it might be something you can eat.

Mini shredded wheat, plain! I put a small amt in a cereal bowl, pour milk over them and let them soak up the milk. Take spoon and mash as they get very soft soaking up the milk. When I'm ready to eat, I pour couple spoonfuls of hazlenut creamer for the sweetness. So good. And soft.

That's GREAT news, Patti. Hang in there. We had a big golf tournament today. Once a year we have a big challenge, the LGA against the MGA. Today was the day. Match play against the men. The Ladies were winning by 3 points until the last match came in. It ended in a tie! I like ties...everyone goes away happy. Actually, I don't think the men were that happy....they love to win! LOL. The tournament was followed by a luncheon so I'm not that hungry. Think I will make a quesadilla for DH.

we did chicken casserole...it was nice having hot comfort food as it was MUCH cooler!....

Thanks for nice words and caring, I'm just thrilled, but at the same time, I'm hoping they've given me enough chemo (it will be 8 weeks or 8 sessions) to kill those nasty little cancer bugs.

Glenda, I used to love those big shredded wheats. I would do like you, as I don't like crunchy cereal. I like Grape-Nuts soaked a long time, too. Yum! I haven't made oatmeal yet, although I keep saying I'm going to. Our Aldi's is too far to save me money. I'd love to stop in when I happen to be in the area sometime. Wonder if their brands are as good as regular?

Pam, I think I'd be as happy with a grilled cheese as I would with your wonderful steak dinner last night. I don't think I could cook if it wasn't for ingredients like cheese. LOL!

Georgysmom, I guess men still think it should be easy to beat a "bunch of women". Glad it ended as it did, or your luncheon might have ended in a food fight :-)

Great News Patti!

Tonight is Baked Teriyaki Meatballs..jumbo ones(because I wanted to get them in the oven)..jasmine rice...steamed broccoli...
I have a batch of snicker-doodle dough chillin in the fridge to fill the cookie jar for lunches..

One more day than school starts..went in for open house....met a few of my incoming 6th graders today...then in walks jumbo 8th grader Kamren...lol..it's hard to realize he was about that size two years ago..the teacher I will be working with is his basketball coach...and Kamren is taller than he is.. Lol...

we had sloppy joes. Glenda my DH has eaten his cereal like that for years. First he crushes the cereal in the bowl. Then he pours milk over it and puts it in the microwave. His favorite is shredded wheat, but he only likes the original big ones that he calls bales. His other favorite is Wheaties but made the same way. The only one that he says doesnt work very well like that is rice krispies. I can't imagagine why though. lol He said he learned to eat cereal like that from his dad's cousin whose farm he went to every summer. They never had electricity though I don't think at least not a microwave so they must have heated the milk on the wood stove.
