We are having Panko & Parmesan breaded pork chops, roasted red potatoes & steamed veggies..

Left over crock pot roast, kale greens and pinto beans with corn bread.

I have been doing Thanksgiving cooking today since tomorrow will be taken up attending a funeral for sis-in-law's mom. I am afraid that it's going to be a cold one.

My supper tonight was a homemade pork barbecue sandwich, a baked sweet potato, peaches with a piece of creme cake. Just water to drink.

Glenda, it was raining this morning but finally quit. I love when you go to Ashley Mac's! Our high Thursday is supposed to be 63. Definitely winter weather.

Sweet Betsy, sorry about your SisIL's mother and glad you were able to get your cooking done today. I remember when my dad died in Indiana in January. It was cold, windy, icy and snowy. Brrrr!

Rained all day & only hit 36 this afternoon. They say a little snow tonight. That would be great.

Dinner for hubby was the ravioli & I had a cube steak sandwich. Pie making day tomorrow, can't wait.

Shirley, now that is comfort food. As for the holidays, we all do what we need/want to do. I like my glass half full. (Especially my wine glass.)

Lasagna tonight. It is freaking cold here in fact they just showed pictures of snow here in Houston on the weather! I haven't seen it but I definitely am not going outside.
While we are in Oklahoma the lows will be in the 20's we have never been in the RV in that cold weather before.
We are now worrying about keeping the water line from freezing. At least we know the heater works.

Patti, I so admire your enthusiasm and determination to rise and conquer the negatives. You are an inspiration.

For supper I doctored up a can of Bush's vegetarian baked beans and put them in the oven. Browned 4 links of Whole Foods chicken sausage. Two with garlic and sun dried tomatoes and two were with spinach and feta. Added a green salad and finished up some leftover Brussels sprouts I found in the fridge.

Now I will put, put, on out to the kitchen and do the dishes.

Raven, see what your manual says about the water line. We were never in weather that cold in our 5th wheel. Sure hope you don't have to travel in snowy weather.

Gazania, you make me blush. Don't give me too much credit, it's just easier to be happy than sad--and sad doesn't help anything at all. I sure wish we had a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's or Fresh Market here. We had FM in Gainesville (now they have TJ's). Got any Brussels sprouts left over? I just love those things and now they're really popular, at least on Pinterest.

Wild rice soup here; it was a tad salty and I don't know why, as I didn't add any to it. I did use a can of broth, and that must have been the culprit. It was good, though.

Did some grocery shopping, then we had Bubba burgers on the grill with fries and salad. Followed it up with a slice of bana bread and hot tea!

If you mean am I cooking food for Thanksgiving the answer is most certainly, lot of it.

Patti, you are soooo right! It is easier to be happy than sad and you are an inspiration to be an example of that. I've noticed, these past few days, a joy in you as you look forward to cooking and preparing for this Thanksgiving. How proud your family must be.

I agree with the others , Patti has a very good attitude and is an inspiration to others.
This will be our first Thanksgiving without my husband but we are going to make the best of it. Patti is right - it is easier to be happy than sad.

We're both off work the rest of the week. This morning, we did some shopping & I worked on the living room Christmas tree this afternoon & evening. We've settled in for the night to watch Sleepy Hollow (it's filmed near us!).

For dinner, we had a salad (spinach, pears, Trader Joe's cranberry goat cheese, and blood orange vinaigrette) with French onion soup. We're having crazy weather. Sunday & Monday were clear but in the 40's. Today was in the low 70's & rainy. Tomorrow will be the same. Thursday is supposed to be back in the the 40's again.
