BTW - if you like Key lime pie(DH love it) - Carnation sells a key Lime pie mix....box includes everything but the pie pan.
Only place sells it round here is Walmart - so I buy 2 boxes at a time.

Long day for me today. We brought coffee to the election workers and voted this am, I took my sister's dog to the vet, helped her with some laundry, paid her bills online, went to the store for her and helped her set her dinner up. Went to the library. Mixed some bread dough. Made carrot soup (wish I could bring some to you!) Brought the soup to my mother and visited with her. Did a load of laundry. Now we are making homemade pizza.

That's a lot to do in one day, Patti.

It's getting warmer for a couple of days here in Ohio, supposed to be in mid 60s tomorrow so I'll be out and about.

I had tilapia, creamed potatoes and peas.

Glad you got things done, that needed to be done.

We had leftover chicken and pasta and I made bruschetta to eat with it. I saw San Marzano tomatoes for the first time, at Costco and bought a case. They were no more expensive than the regular ones I buy.....Italpasta, Primo, etc etc.

I've read for a while how much better the San tomatoes are than anything else, so that's what I made the bruschetta with. They are good! The rest of the can will be made into pasta puttanesca tomorrow nite.

I think I am going to make spaghetti and garlic bread loaf.
Another dreary rainy day here.
spent part of the day working on my husbands laptop, it was having a problem, got that taken care of.

Patti, I know how hard it must have been for you to do all that changing over to your name. I bet you are glad that is done.

Worked outside again, guess we have about 3/4 done. Hope to finish it this week.

Dinner was grilled cheese sandwiches for hubby & I had shells.

Not too much of anything. Tried to make some order out of all the disorder in my house right now. I can hardly stand it. Went out to vote at 3:00 and ran some errands. Bought a plastic wicker-type hamper for the new closet plus some baskets for DH's shelves in hopes he will try to keep his portion a little neater....fat chance. I made myself half a ham and cheese sandwich and am off to play bridge now.

Chi83, I've seen a few soup recipes on Pinterest that used kale and beans. Nice combination---I could sub something else for the quinoa, I'm sure.

Monica, yum! Bet your house smells so good. I imagine a lot of KT'ers will be looking for the key lime pie mix.

Pam, you get more done in one day than 5 people! When I lived in IN I used to work the polls. It was nice when people brought us goodies since we couldn't leave the building from 5 a.m. until about 7 or 8 that night. I loved doing that!

Shirley, after reading Pam's post I feel like I did nothing! Got more to do tomorrow. I'll be glad when tilapia tastes right again!

Jasdip, I've read about those tomatoes too, but I thought they were really expensive. Glad you found out differently. I like Pomi brand tomatoes. They are imported from Italy and in a box like chicken broth comes in. The ingredient list is pretty short: tomatoes. :-)

Mary, unfortunately I'm not finished with all the changes, but the list is getting short. :-) Grilled cheese sounds really good.

Raven, hope that rain heads north instead of east. Spaghetti was always a winning dinner around here.

I made a chicken stew today....more like cream of chicken soup with lots of veggies. Hit the spot!

I made Robert leave the Flex with me today so that I could 'bond' with it. I've barely driven it since we got it and I need to learn to be comfortable in the thing. It's far bigger than I'm used to. I took it to an empty lot and practiced a lot of parking from every angle. Also figured out how to use most of the computer driven gadgets on the dash.

So, I called Robert at noon and told him that Moby was taking me out to lunch, lol.

Hubby had left over grilled ribeye, fried rice and sauted spinach.
The boys and I had gluten free pasta(barilla's) not to bad...I poured over the last of a jar of marinara and a bit of browned ground beef, sliced up pepperoni and mozzarella and baby spinach..tossed it all together and popped in a hot oven til melty and bubbly..I also roasted hericot verts.

DH is still out of town. I got home late from work & made myself an "Egg McMuffin" & had a little lemon yogurt afterward.

My Prince Charming took me to our favorite sushi place for dinner!!! Yummy I always order enough to bring home for lunch the next day. So I will be having sushi for lunch tomorrow.
