What's for dinner Tuesday?

I've had a heck of a time trying to post this. My screen only showed down to where you would go to get page 2 and nothing below that.

Anyway, it was cold, rainy and really windy here today so I did some more cleaning out. And for dinner I had the rest of my MC chicken and rice. Yum!

Tired of cooking - just milk and cornbread on this cold, windy day.

Haven't even stuck my head out the door, it's so terribly windy.

Thankfully I had some food in the freezer.

I cooked some frozen Italian meatballs in cream of mushroom soup, added sour cream at the end and ate them over leftover Texas Garlic Toast.

That sounds so good, terri! Actually, everyone's supper (or lunch) sounds good. Robert asked for oven baked chicken pieces again. I basted the legs and thighs with a doctored BBQ sauce (added tobacco and apple vinegar) for the first half, then made a glaze out of that plus apricot preserves. It is sooooooo good! Sweet, sour, and spicy. Also made a batch of cheese biscuits and my cole slaw. He was a happy man! I'm always glad when he actually asks for something in particular....he helps with supper, by the way. He likes kitchen duty.

Kittiesmom, I'm glad you got home safely. Hope you don't have to work tomorrow. Enjoy the sloppy joes. They're always a good thing! Mary, are you in the path of that storm Glenda is talking about? It looks like it's going straight across GA and then head north, but maybe that's changed. No doctor today, just finished up business from Harry's death. That chicken sounds good, Raven. I need to put mushrooms on my grocery list. I bought a 2-1/2 qt. crockpot when they were on sale at Wal-Mart before T-giving. I could use it since my other is way too big.

That pizza burger sounds scrumptious with mac and cheese, Tami! But I'd probably go with your hamburger. With a thick slice of onion and lots of mayo!!! Cheryl, I tried rendering lard once. It was okay but not anything special for the toil! I do love me some fried taters. Terri, I haven't tried roasting cauliflower but I've seen pictures on Pinterest and it looks good. I do like roasted Brussels sprouts. They get all brown and yummy! Kittiemom, you are eating waaay to healthy :-) That sounds good.

I agree. You need to go back to the drawing board. Not very professional on their part. So sorry that happened for you. I've been tired today. I don't know why. Haven't really done very much. We had a little snag in our renovation project and that has caused me to lose lots of sleep but we're back on track. Met with the contractor this morning, did a little cleaning, then met with a gal from the fabric store to chose fabrics for window treatment, chair covering and dust ruffle. Had to go out to order carpeting for our closet so I picked up Chinese while I was out. Hot and Sour soup, chicken chow mein and some kind of beef is what's for dinner tonight. Hit a new place so I have no idea if it's any good and "frankly my dear, I don't give a d...." LOL

We had steak sandwiches with onions and cheese and sat on our chars in front of a wood fire. Nice

Brrrrr, it's freezing today. But sunny which makes a big difference!

We had the jambalaya that I made yesterday. It was terrific! I don't put shrimp in mine, but have chicken, sausage and ham. Crusty bun and a salad along with it.

I cooked up a batch of my rice and mixed grains with added quinoa, celery, carrots, and onions tossed in with the broth at the very beginning. I added some smoked sausage half way through, cut into half inch rounds and a couple of big handfuls of kale at the end. Hot sauce to taste! Yum.

This concoction is also great with chicken or shrimp....or as a side dish. Nice on a cold evening.

Went outnfor dinner. DH had a steak and I had short ribs. Played bridge afterwards. 28 degrees on the way home and lots of snow.
