No I did not sell my house LOL!!!

I catered my stores Thanksgiving luncheon!!

We have over 100 employees most of whom were working today.

I wanted to post about it but I just didn't have the time as this assignment was dumped on me kinda last minute.

Because nearly all employees are part time we decided to try to have food for all shifts-in the past these luncheons end by midafternoon leaving the night shift with no meal.

I insisted on stretching it out.

So I made 6 turkeys-well they were actually roasted in our bakery ovens last night, Stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, green beans almondine, creamy corn, cole slaw, cranberry orange relish, deviled eggs, olive trays,salad, soda, juice, coffee and pies of all sorts (No I did not bake pies-you all know I am baking challenged) The pies were donated and for some odd reason the deli donated a huge batch of fried chicken??

I worked till 6 and passed the torch to a co worker who will make sure all the rest of the grub is eaten and she promised to wash all my crockpots and nesco.

I am exhausted!!!

It was definately a learning experience of which I really enjoyed!! The prez of the company stopped by and while she did not actually eat she said she liked how professional I was and even asked if I went to culinary school.

I said no but I have an arsenal of wonderful supportive cooks that I bounce ideas off of every day-she seemed puzzled but smiled anyway.

Going to go soak my feet as I have a very LONG day tomorrow followed by my own holiday meal to prepare which after today should be a piece of cake!!
