While I was searching for colors to help you out, I came across a homeowners site in FL with preapproved exterior paint selections! There are some really nice colors! HTH!

Thanks for the link. I noticed most of the colors are either pink or peach though not a coral tone. I guess it is hard to find. I'll show them to my husband though, he wanted mint, but I thought a coral would go nicely with a tan roof and the tan rock and give a little exterior pizazze. Perhaps my choices are a little too bright, I thought I'd get one gallon and see what it looks like before I purchase all the paint.

Glidden/ICI-dulux/Azko-Nobel color - Southern Coral 30Yr 40/231. Buy a quart - not a gallon to test final contender colors.

Consider painting the gutters when you get a new roof, choose a color from the roof for the gutters.

How could you miss with any of the colors? Florida homes just scream for a pastel, especially a coral or pink. It's a cute house and definitely will be livened up w/a new coral color! ;o)

From the trees in the picture this looks like north FL where you might not see many homes painted pastels or caribbean colors as you do in south FL.

What colors are the other homes in your area there painted? I think the Coral Bisque in the Continental Siding link might work really well.

ok I am definitely going to paint the house minnie pearl bright aqua dress color, along with the hat, and everything, DH is going to love this.

we are in central florida near Inverness. Folks in our neighborhood have some pastel colors, but also some more traditional colors like white, brown, blue, etc. We are on an acre and no one has built on either side, so we won't stand out so much. A few have painted with a terra cotta color, but I think that is better in the southwest not Florida. the mint color on the houses we have seen, seems to fade out when driving by.

We don't want to stand out like a sore thumb but we do want a little pizzaz.

Years ago we painted our old farmhouse in Arkansas a yellow color that was quite bright, a year later the sun had faded it back to a nice original color it started as.

I will get quart instead of a gallon and see. Each color looks so different depending upon what it is up against,

Buy those 4oz samples and paint a 2x2 sheet of foamcore board, then tape the sheets on the side of the house. You can move them around to see what different lighting does.

Anyway..... about that Coral Bisque siding color - used to have it on my house which is how I know about the color. But, I call it coral, you call it coral, all of the color crazy people here will call it coral but the men in your life, husband, sons, fathers and brothers - they'll call it PINK! I can promise you that!

The coral bisque house that my DH and sons ALWAYS called pink. And you can imagine the tone in their voices when giving directions that ended with - 'you'll see it - it's the (ugh) pink house.' And it was my fault, of course ;-)

dlm, what an interesting and lovely house color! It is so unexpected but surprisingly beautiful! Love it with the stony brown color.

Here is the New Orleans area where I live, tons of the old Spanish-style townhouses in the French Quarter have what I call a shrimp color--an orange-y salmon-y coral that is almost always paired with seafoam green or turquoise shutters and doors. Breathtaking combination! The Sherwin Williams in the French Quarter even has a brochure called "French Quarter" colors with colors pre-approved by the French Quarter preservation society. It includes a version of the coral color and there are several other lovely colors (including a version of 'haint' blue) in the collection of 20 or so colors.

My dining room is painted coral and I love it, but in some light it does look more pink than coral. The room faces west and in the afternoon with the warm light it looks coral. In the morning when it doesn't get as much light it looks more pink.

I don't have any experience with using coral outdoors, but you might want to view your samples at various times of day to make sure you end up with a shade you really like.

jokeywing, salmony, shrimp - that sounds wonderful, dh wanted to pair it with turquoise and I said no, that would be too much, I'll do a search on New orleans type homes to see what I cna find.

haint blue I love it - who knew, I'll have to look up those preservation colors.

artlover, coral is such a lovely color but so seldom used. I am slowly adding more color into my decorating repetoire, thanks to many who advised me on my last home. Color I am finding can make or break the look and feel of a room or outside of a home.

I just got a quart from SW called Jovial; here it is; what do you think? before and after

trim will be some type of charcoal and we were going to get a tan roof, but now maybe a black beige tan combo
