Yes--I am sure-- someone from the ARC came by to check our driveway project (replacing broken concrete w/pavers) and I showed him the extra tiles which are obviously painted He took one of the tiles to show another HOA member in charges of things like enforcing the "clean roof" provision so they wouldn't hassle us in the future... The guy we had wash the roof didn't want to do it because it was basically a waste of time/money since the paint streaks wouldn't be coming off... We found pavers to go with the roof so looks like we will be keeping what we have vs having it painted to more conventional color... our daughter and SIL though are in process of having their older tile roof caulked/sealed and painted in a darker brown color... just wondered if anyone had any experience with a painted tile roof...

Apparently painting roofs is often done in your area but I have no first hand experience with it. I've seen reference to an elastic acrylic paint but not sure what is recommended these days. I suggest you contact major paint companies and ask for names of roof painters, then ask the painters for referrals of previous jobs so you can check their work. Since you're getting rid of the pink in the roof, be careful of the amount of red you bring in with the pavers. Also make sure the design of the pavers goes with the style of your home.

You have a lovely house ..white stucco with some charcoal grey with blue undertones for some trim areas and garage door would be very refreshing in a sea of beige to taupe track homes, a kind of California modern look. Changing the look of the garage door to either match your pergola color or a trim color will go a long way to update , giving you great curb appeal. The red tile roof gives you some thing to run with for bumping up the style. I would add some Saltillo tile for the porch and walkway to repeat that roof color , some new lighting that's larger in scale and some more structural plantings such as blue agave.

I guess I'm trying to determine what color or combination of colors to use on the various types of trim and decking. (I think this includes window and door trim, fascia, soffits, vertical trim). A local designer thought that using white on the fascia, soffits, and window trim would be a LOT of white, maybe too much white. So we are trying to figure out if we should use something different around the windows (Escape Gray? Something else?) and/or something different on the fascia (Urbane Bronze? Escape Gray? Something else?) What does EF mean? Are you referring to Evergreen Fog? We thought we would just use that on the vertical pieces of trim on the corners.....
