Why are my veggies so sad =[
Comments (8)Thanks ABNORM ! Unfortunately I am a little scared to flood the system entirely since we are on the 2nd floor with the landlord right below us the last thing we need is to flood their kitchen as well! However, instead of the water running for 30 min increments 6 times a day, I just changed the cycle to run for 1 hour increments, 4 times a day. Hopefully this will allow them to soak up more water. The fabric we are using is capillary mat from the hydro store. We didn't know we were supposed to soak the fabric before using it, so once we actually soaked it the plants seemed to be doing MUCH better, however still not 100% I will let you know how they're doing with the new water cycle and hopefully there will be more improvements WEIRDTREV, there a bunch of different kinds of cucumber, garden beans, and tomatos. And as for the landlord, he was actually stoked because he wants some fresh greens! TO ALL, hopefully within the next week a larger, more powerful light will be added to the arsenal! Gardening is something very important to me as it is something I have been doing with my mum my whole life since I can remember. This is my first year not being able to have land to use so my incredible boyfriend built this for me so I can still enjoy this hobby.. I really hope they start to cheer up more!...See MoreWhy are my mammoth jalapenos corking with turning red?
Comments (9)Jal freaks tend to love that corking...it never did anything for me, though. At least they're thick enough it doesn't matter. In some of my breeding experiments with sweet peppers I've seen corking that's unacceptable to the point I've just pulled the plants and told others growing it to do the same if they wish. Corking doesn't "hide" it's texture/feel very well on sweets....See MoreHow to fix my dry stuffing I made today
Comments (11)Add broth or stock or drippings from your turkey. Or add some rendered fat, like bacon or the renderings off your turkey. Perhaps a touch a cream or buttermilk. Don't add more butter or oil. Kind of depends on if it's a general dryness problem, your bread component is too dry, or the livers themselves is too dry. Usually adding liquid like stock or drippings fixes the bread, but might not fix the liver. Usually adding fat or cream/buttermilk can fix dryness in a liver dish like pate, but might not solve an overall dryness problem in stuffing because of all the bread....See MoreWhat's up with all of the gummy vitamins?
Comments (33)If your MD says you are deficient in some nutrient, try to eat more foods that contain that nutrient. (EAT, not consume as a liquid.) If that doesn't raise your levels adequately, ask your MD to recommend the dose and brand of supplement. Many supplements contain teeny amounts of the stated product --the maker doesn't want to be open to being sued if you have a bad reaction. There is no way to know the purity of a supplement -- or if it even is what it says it is. "More" of a supplement is useless if you don't need it or your body can't make us of it. You would need to consume some supplements in small doses throughout the day for your body to make use of them. That 300 mg pill at breakfast may be three times what your body can absorb; the rest is 'flushed'....See More- 14 years ago
