Please show me your cultured marble/granite shower surround!
Comments (2)We chose Corian Egyptian Copper for our shower surround under the glass and in the doorway and for the bath vanity. We had corian in the old house and were very happy with it. The shower seat is also corian...we talked to a lot of folks who had granite seats and they all complained how cold it was. Corian is much warmer, but we did need to have special supports made for the seat as it's not structural....See MoreShow me your tiled-in showers! Mosaics, granite, marble....
Comments (4)Thank you. Of all the bathrooms I've done, that one in particular is my favorite, too. It's the only bathroom I've done in the last few years where the owner let me design it. Of course I had to pass all my designs by him for approval, but yeah, if you can't tell, I'm pretty proud of it! :-)...See MoreShow me your hex-tile floors and tell me your grout color please!
Comments (8)Hi Bill, I have seen mention of this Mapei on other threads and did a google search and came up with a lot of foreign-language links. Who makes it? Or better yet, can you give me a link to a website? (Also, I sent you an email - did you get it? I noticed another tile installation disaster today. Our Master Bath floor has been covered for protection until today when part of it was exposed while the double vanity was installed. The large 16" square honed Calcutta Gold tiles are not centered on any of the walls, so there are really off grout lines at the center of the vanity. It is really obvious and when I think about it I literally want to cry :( . This is our forever house and everywhere I turn, a tile job is done badly. I could really use a good referal!)...See MoreShow me your lights! (and granite counters...)
Comments (7)The men are working on my kitchen as I type this, so I can't offer any pictures....but I can tell you what I chose...maybe it will suit your tastes, maybe not. My cabinets are going to be a dark brownish black cherry, shaker style. I chose Delicatus White Granite. I think it is the most beautiful granite. If you google it you can see many pictures. But of course, you should pick out the slabs at a granite yard, because they could vary greatly! My second choice was Bianco Antico. There are many kitchens on this forum with that granite and I bet you can easily see a picture..check out beekeeperswife, or redroze, or mairin.....All really beautiful kitchens in my opinion.. Also I loved the pendants in mairin and redroze kitchens and I ordered the same ones that mairin has from potterybarn...Search "Show me your dark kitchen" and you will see them. Happy Shopping!...See Moretwizzis
