that was so nice and helpful of you, Kevin. it appears to me that the only thing changing is the grout, which looks wetter temporarily. i wonder why on earth my tile is also getting so wet. by the way, your shower inspired me and my guest bathroom floor is now a black border with white square marble mosaics and the shower floor is a smaller size black marble square mosaic. it looks really sharp.

Hopefully this works. I have two baths we just finished. The master is Daltile Brancacci with the resin chair rail and floral listello Fastfloors.com had this for 1/2 the price as special order from home depot. You have to call them though after you get your order set up to fix any shipping issues (they do each type of tile as a seperate order so shipping looks much worse than it really is until you call them). The other is our kids bath with 4 1/4" plain white tile and 2" cobalt blue glass from mirage tile. Note that the glass tile is thicker so you will have to put down more thinset behind the remaining tile and the grout joints around the glass will be larger due to difference in tile sizes. We have a granite shower and did go ahead and use the same granite on the vanity. It doesn't seem too overwhelming to us, especially since they're on different walls so you don't really see it all at the same time. Here's the shower: and the vanity:

$1300.00 is outrageous , ask him how much is he charging you per square foot ? My calacata marble was $90 .00 per sqft . The inside of the curb was done with the porcelain used for the shower walls and the outside was made with calacata marble tile used for the floor . The top of the curb is calacata marble used for my counters and tub deck . I don't know how much exactly I paid for that piece , but I think no more than $ 300.00 . I actually have an extra piece , because the first one was too narrow , so they fabricated a new one .5 " wider at no extra cost . So I am left with the old one . For the shower floor I used a white porcelain for ease of cleaning . I am attaching the picture .
