Yellow and white would be very pretty. . ..but the house color needs to harmonize with your tile roof. In the photos it looks to be the same mauve as the color of the house. If that is so, yellow would not be a good choice. If the roof is white or off white, I would paint the house yellow (straw?) and the trim and garage door the same color as the white roof. I would paint the brick wall the same white also, and change out your shutters to black ones that are at least 3x their current width and hang them with proper shutter hardware. You will be amazed at how much doing that will improve the look. I would switch out all your lighting to black carriage lamps and paint your front door black.

I agree w/ksw - that was my 1st impression - the roof is a huge expanse of your palette so you need to coordinate your house color with the roof.
The house is reading pink tones right now - is it possible to isolate the roof color in a picture? that would help get a true read on the roof color to choose house body color.

When I moved from CA to TX I came to miss stucco. All the houses here are brick. Off topic for paint, but you can't see the front door. trim that lovely bottle brush slowly but surely down to the height of the crotons. If that's a palm I see on the corner of the garage, I'd leave it to soften the edge of the house and to give the bed a focal point. A big,green square makes your home look boxy. Also,a tall hedge as it is now,blocks the front door and makes it look unfriendly/unwelcoming. It puts the focus on the garage door instead of the entrance as well.

What colors do you like? I think the stucco color of the garage, shutters, roof and doors make it too matchy-matchy.
You NEED two similar colors (sympathetic) and one opposite color for depth. If you don't know what I'm talking about look at a color wheel. You'll see yellow next to orange and blue or green across from them. Color also has a base to it.
White (pastels), tone (grey cast), shade (black mixed in) or primary/secondary (pure color like a kid's playroom). So pick groups of 3 colors you like with the same base and you'll have a starting point. One other thing, the focus needs to be on the front door. I'd paint the garage to blend in with the house. You want to send the message that people live there not the cars. Here is my all time favorite picture of a tropical stucco house. White walls, azure blue door, Terracotta pot with flowers and some terrazzo accents. LOVELY!!! One last thought, those shutters look too small for the window. I'd remove them. If there is room I'd add a window box too! You had to ask :).

I agree that with your roof color yellow might not work...when I can't get out of the box on a color palette, I use the Behr tool at Home Depot to isolate the main color (for now, your roof) and then see what colors they suggest. It's hard to tell what shade the roof is exactly on my monitor, but you'll be able to find a color on the website that is close.

I really like the planting area to the left of the front door. It really softens the linear style of your house. Not that you asked about planting, but the rectangular habit of the right side plantings reads as too boxy with your charming SFLA architecture.

Some easy fixes that caught my eye...
-The white light, take it apart and spray it oil rubbed bronze or black.
-Get rid of the white fencing around the tree.
-Trim back the bushes, only to expose the front window and leave the rest.
-Repaint the shingles (if possible) maybe a dark brown (espresso or wenge), shutters and garage door a creamier brown...almost a coffee with cream color. The rest of the house can remain the current color or repaint to an off white or light beige.
-Take door numbers on garage and arrange them above the garage to the right, left or middle in a oil rubbed bronze number.

Thanks for the advice!! You girls are awesome! As for the landscaping issues, those are works in progress. The left side was recently redone with the retaining wall and we need tp work on the boxy shrubs. I don't think you can see real oell from the pictures, but the front door is at a weird angle. You actually can't even see it from the front. Anyway I don't have photoshop or any of those fun toys but I played a little with the sherwin williams color tool.. here are a couple things I came up with.

I like the second combination better . . . And with that I would do the shutters and hardware and carriage lamps in a brown / oil rubbed bronze color. You can get a brown concrete stain from home depot or lows that you can use on your walkway, which also seems to have the pink tones.

Cannot emphasize enough, though, how much better more substantial shutters will look in a pretty chocolate color with that second color scheme. . . . and with that I would do a wood door, stained a fruitwood color and polyurethaned against the weather.

OK, Here's an off the wall idea, just to get you thinking out of the box. I just got my new House Beautiful issue and Pink is the color of the moment. And the rooms were gorgeous. Somehow, I think salmon might be really pretty w/ your roof (but repaint the trim just off white). South Florida must have strong sun, so why not take advantage of that and paint it a bright, clear pastelly (is that an oxymoron?) bold color? Just a thought....

Of the two you've painted above, I like the second one better. If it were me, I'd do away w/ the shutters. If they don't look like they're going to cover the window, then I'd rather not have them. Also, shutters are kind of traditional in my mind, your windows look modern. I agree--window boxes would look great.

I would completely remove the shrubs on the right and put a small bench there and a water feature or bird bath or something roundish to soften the hard angle of the house there. And, I'd like to see the front door. And who said to put the numbers on the wall? Good idea. Maybe running them top to bottom (once you pull out those shrubs...). Just some more food for thought.

I'm curious to know what color the roof tiles are before I suggest colors. They look almost beige in the first picture, but a dusty rose in the second.

I've been having a hard time coming up with a descriptive term for my roof color! Forgetting the fact that it needs a good pressure washing, I'd say it's sort of a peach/dusty rose. It seems to me like it blends in with the mauve with the rest of the house but my husband thought it had more of an orange tint. Doesn't seem like much help I know. I think I found a body color I really like. Universal Khaki from Sherwin Williams. Here is my amateur coloring again lol. The trim is a white/off white and the shutters is a color called seal skin (can't decide how I feel about the darker shutters). Everyone's suggestions are so great!! Thank you!

What about grey? Here is my primative rendering with river rock garden around front tree and armour stone for house numbers. You could use up lighting to light up numbers at night.

A stucco house with tile roof really needs to stay within a warm earthy color range to 'look right', IMHO. The 2nd khaki combo was pretty.

Door1- That is so cool!! Is that photoshop!? Here I am trying to draw a straight line with my mouse to color my house and you gave me new landscaping! I definitely want to pull out those shrubs and do something different there. I'm not too sure though about the grey. I like the earthy tones. It can't be normal how much I'm obsessing about this. I just want it to look perfect =) If I keep with the khaki theme with the darker color for the shutters, would I also paint my front door match the shutters?

Hi ufandi! It's not photoshop, only paint. If It were my home and I did the grey, I would probably paint the front door an eye popping yellow or red! If you go with the earthy tones, you could paint your door a deeper red (something like the shade of the flowers on your bushes.) Sometimes it is nice to see something unexpected. What color would you paint the garage door if you go with the earth tones?
