I love those colors! I'm drawn to the first one, but I'm kind of leary of the dead tree aspect of it. Doesn't seem very feng shui. After that I would pick the Ford Smith one, but maybe cropped so the text doesn't show and you only see the picture. That way it looks less like a poster.

I'm drawn to the 4th and 5th picture. Not sure how big the pics are, but what about a group of three pics - single tree, three trees, single tree?

I am a red fan, but in this case I would pick no. 3. A picture containing red would be the expected. The gold in the picture picks up on the gold in your cushions. Do you have black elsewhere in the room, as you would need to because of the black frames.

I like one the best.

#3 would be my choice. As roseabby said, it picks up the gold in your cushions and it's length is most flattering with the width of your sofa. If you found a lamp with a black base, it would help tie in with the black frame of the picture.

me three for #3- It is softer to me and has less stark contrast to the cream sofa and light wall.

I don't know if I have these in proper proportion or not, but I like the rectangle shape of #1 the best. #3 doesn't bring in the red that you'll want. The square shape of #4 or 5 doesn't seem to balance out the sofa right, but of those I like #4 better (single tree).

bixa 2 is best with your pillows. bixa 4 is the best pic of them (just my .02). bixa 5 and bixa 6 would look good but both of them need to go up there. Nice selection :)

I like #3 the best, but #2 looks really good above your sofa.

#3 and you could change the patterned pillows on your couch with a fabric with gold in it. Very nice picture.

I forgot to add that I think #3 needs a colored matting other than white, maybe the color of your darker pillows.

I'd get both 4 and 5 and display them together.

PS: I'd get them both in the same frame (prefer #5's frame) and the same matting.

I love the colors of #1 the best, #3 the least. Need more art in your room at all? how about #1 over the sofa and #4 and #5 elsewhere in the room? I do like 4 and 5 as well, with the frame on #5 being the fave of the two.

What are the dimensions of these pictures. I LOVE number 1 and think it would look great ONLY if it's large enough to balance with the sofa. The size is almost more important than the content.

I love #1 and can see it paired with lamps chosen from one of the other colors in the art, perhaps gold as other posters like that.

I agree with rjinga ... both of the last 2 pictures, framed and matted the same, side by side.

I like #1 and #2. Make sure they are large enough tho.

Thanks ladies, Now that I can see the pics above the sofa I definitely don't like #3. Sorry to the girls that like it but way to blah with no color. I am still drawn to #1 but #2 seems to have great color that goes well with my pillows. I also like #4 and #5 side by side. Now I need one more favor. Can someone photoshop #2 again for me as I have now cropped it and I think it will look better. the size would be 32"H by 44"W. Also could someone take #4 and #5 and put them side by side above the sofa. The finished size for each of these pictures would be 20"H by 20"W.

Numbers 4 and 5 as a pair over the couch. Neither one is large enough alone. Even with a taller lamp you need more there to balance the size of the couch than one pix. However, I think they are perhaps a bit too matchy-matchy with the couch/pillows combination.

What is the look you want? Your couch is much more contemporary in feel than the side table, as are the pillows. Is there an accent color that you could bring in to spark the red-beige combo in the art and the furniture and pillows?

Ditto the pair....let us know what you decide. :)

I have number 1, so I am partial to it. I agree that number 4 and 5 are too square and should be grouped.

I like #1 as far as composition, interest to look at etc. But I also think that #4 & #5 grouped together would look really nice with your current pillows.

Scanmike, can you share a photo of #1 in your home? Also, it depends to me on the size of the picture. I think you need a pretty good size picture or you'll need to group it with something else - probably why #4,#5 make the most sense in your space.

I like the red trees but one is too small for over your sofa. Its the wrong proportion. You should pair up the two (2) red tree pictures and put them both over your sofa side by side.

I love that work by Egon Schiele (#1) but all his work is rather gloomy, though most are of women in which some can literally spook you. The colors are so pretty and soft even if they are a bit gloomy.
Personally I'd go for Ford Smith. I love all his work. It's pretty much breath taking and the colors are so very vivid that reach out and grab you.

Okay ladies if you read my last post I would combine #4 and #5 side by side. The one tree picture alone would definitely not work. I also like the Ford Smith #2. I really would like to see a photoshop of #2 since I have now cropped it and also #4 and #5 side by side above the sofa. I think #1 isn't going to work because it is too tall for my space. Could someone photoshop #2 by itself for me and also #4 and #5 side by side.

4/5 will make a wider visual space.. I like the color too..

Again, not sure if they're size properly, but it will give you an idea of the look. I'd want matching frames before doing this, but it looks nice!

If you already have pic #1, use it and add black sconces to either side~ I bet it will look great!

4 and 5 grouped together. definitely. makes a nice balance with the white couch. that rectangle one is not bad either that you posted further down. I just think though that the 2 tree ones with the red and black look very cool and fill up the space nicely

Msrose, the #3 picture is called Central Park, New York City and it is done by the artist Walter Bibikow. You can find it at art.com. I really do like #1 but the height is too tall for my space, I have two heating vents towards the top of my wall and unfortunately the picture is too tall. Now after seeing #4 and #5 photoshopped I do think these pics look fabulous! I have burgundy curtains and I will tie in a rug to the space also. Any ideas on a rug to go with the two burgundy tree pictures? Also need a new lamp to tie into the pics. Any ideas?

Bixa525- what is the name of the very first picture. I love it for me maybe.

I think for you it would be nice to do either of the pics that have all the trees, not the yellow scene with the people, the other ones. I think the single trees are beautiful but too stark. I think the other pics have so many other colors you can easily change out the pillows over time if you get bored. All the colors give you more choices.

I bought the Schiele print when I was in Vienna many years back. It's not a big print but about 12 x 12 or so. I like trees and find I gravitate to them. The colors in the print are really nice and go well with my sage bedroom. Sorry, I don't have a photo handy.

Shannon01, the first print is called Four Trees, 1917 and is done by artist Egon Schiele. I really do love that picture but it is too tall for my space. I think I will do the single 12X12 size pictures with the burgundy/red trees. Now my next question is I am going to do a set of three of them so would you do one of each or combine them some other way?

Can anybody give me an opinion on what you would do with the three pictures at the bottom of the post? I want to get these 3 pictures for above my sofa but not sure if I should order one of each and keep them all differnet or would two of the same look better with a different one in the middle. What would you do?

I would definitely do all three, not two of the same. I would probably go with the 2-1-3 order.

Wow, now there are three! All three would look nice lined up above the sofa!! They will 'hang' outside the frame of the sofa a little but that would be okay I think. Send the rest of those pictures that you won't be using to me please :)

Thanks ladies, I like the 2-1-3 lineup! The pictures aren't as big as they were photoshopped. They won't hang over the egde of the sofa. Can anyone size all three pics down to fit over the sofa? I would love to see what they would look like.
