I would recommend selecting a dedicated exercise "area" that is pleasant to be in. Of the options you mentioned, I like #2 for a few reasons. It puts the bike in a place you won't feel like you need to cover it. Having it near a window (or sliding glass doors in your case) gives the exercise place a positive pleasant feeling. I find myself much more motivated to exercise when I get natural light. I often get very warm while exercising and nothing is more pleasant than being able to open up a window (or a sliding glass door) and bring in a nice cross breeze. What I'm doing while exercising all depends on the exercise. But if I'm running on a treadmill or elliptical machine or on a bike, I enjoy watching TV. It helps distract me from the exercise and allows me to do an otherwise very unproductive thing (TV) while doing something productive. I love the idea of reading while exercising, but I tend to exercise too vigorously to be able to read (might fall off treadmill or bike or make myself very motion sick). If you hate to exercise, choose an activity that you truly do enjoy (maybe it's TV, or movies, or reading, or knitting, or talking on the phone) to help pass the time and make the activity more pleasant.

I vote 3. Beds in corners are hard to make. You should be able to walk comfortably around it. Most people will want a queen size bed. If planning an air b&b you really need a few things. 2 night tables with lamps. A desk can double as a bedside table. I hate places with only one since both my husband and I wear glasses it's nice to have a place to put them without asking a spouse to put them on a table for you. Supply a handy place to put a suitcase and a chair or bench. Travelers will live out of their suitcase. Giving them space in a closet and small drawer space though. A dresser just takes up room. This my guest room.

I use a lazy susan from Rubber Maid purchased back in the Pleistocene era that I keep in a cabinet away from the stove. Certain things are kept in the refrigerator. Everything is dated when purchased, and every 2 years I go through it all and through out what is old, unless I taste it and it tastes good. I do love to save those little bottles. They are great for making your own spice blends, sorting buttons of different colors, screws of different sizes, making your own spice blends. My mother used to keep her spare buttons in beautiful cake tins. Remember when people gave you gifts of cake in beautiful colored aluminum cake tins or beautiful boxes that looked like hat boxes? Well, they were our repository for buttons. It made it a treat to hunt down that special button for mom. Too bad those days are gone! The tiny jars from jam samples are good for storing those tiny quantities of saffron that might come in a cellophane packet. Or craft supplies. Who said recycling is a new thing?
