Which Slow cooker do you like best?
Comments (15)The brands we get the most complaints/returns on are the Hamilton Beach slow cookers. The customers say they don't hold a temperature and break down after a few months use. Same way with their hand mixers, poor quality. I wouldn't buy HB items. The quality isn't there. I purchased a new Cusinart programmable slow cooker a few months ago. Have used it 4 times. So far so good. Everything has come out well. It has the SS outside, Black ceramic insert with a meat rack inside. It is the 6.5 quart size. That seems to do best for our family of 4. I also have 2 Rival Crock pots that I received as wedding gifts 30 years ago. They are still going strong and don't show any signs of breaking down. They are stained on the outside and the lids are a bit scratched but I won't give them up for any amount of money. They have lasted so long they are like family! lol NancyLouise...See MoreWhich hutch design do you like best?
Comments (5)The only reason I wouldn't make it "as big as possible" is because I didn't know whether the large 24" doors are too big--lookwise and function. If I make it into the 3 doors, it would automatically cut it down 3 inches because I am not going with custom cabinets. I don't want to come all the way down to the countertop because I need counter space. These are my inspirational pics which is why I hesitate to do the shelf. It is pretty, but not what I imagined for this space. I wanted all glass uppers. Reducing the size of the drawer there doesn't bother me too much. I added 4 drawers on either side of the range and they are 21 inches wide. I just want to pick what looks best since this is going to be my focal point. I'll have to think about what I need to store in that cabinet next to the range. I might need some hidden storage. :) That shelf is soooo pretty though. I wonder if I can pull it off!...See MoreReplacing patio doors with windows...which do you like best?
Comments (30)Looks like you have a really large porch off side, I actually like that you plan to connect it off those patio doors out of kitchen/dining area and give yourselves a small private balcony off master not connected to rest. Not sure what your weather is like but ours here does not justify a massive uncovered/unscreened/unenclosed deck (and to cover and screen all of it would be $$$$) and risks becoming more headache than pleasure, so I understand why you don’t want one. Plus the concerns about shading the future walk out basement. I don’t think you need to burn your house down :) I still vote Option 3 after seeing or understanding more of your overall short and long term plans....See MoreWhich lampshade do you like best on this lamp; blue or white?
Comments (5)Neither to tell you the truth. Thought you might find the link below helpful https://www.ballarddesigns.com/howtodecorate/2019/03/choose-right-lamp-shade/ My daughter in law has similar lamps in their bedroom and it’s been hard to find the right shades at a decent price. She’s still trying to find the perfect ones....See MoreTracey Woods
