My lunch was so good...but oh so bad!

Up here at the cottage and a little short on day to day fresh groceries. I'm up here doing roasted peppers, hot sauce, cabbage rols and 'kraut....got all the stuff for that but no bread etc.

So I had to go digging for lunch and ended up with canned brown beans to which I added some sliced weiners and topped with KETCHUP!!! It was so darn good...I mean really, realy good...... weiners and beans and ketchup , haven't had it in years ...so bad, but oh so good! I ate the whole mess up and was licking the bowl.

Promise tomorrow I will return to scratch but damn it was good!!!!!

I was rummaging around for a can of beans last night....I really reallyw anted just a little of those B and M canned baked beans....with ketchup and sweet pickles!
Didn't find a can though....but I did find another can of those chopped jalapenos..LOL!

Hi Frank ! this is my first year to give roses a try again...I manaaged to kill three about fifteen years ago, and vowed never again...but they got ahold of me again this spring ! I found that my four newbies (all planted in barrels and tubs) don't do well in the 100+ weather either ! So my daughter helped me "roll out the barrels" to light shade areas, where they receive early morning sun, then shade most of day, til late,late sun...so far, so good... They get oodles of water at least every other day, lots of mulch, and handsful of epsom salts watered in well about every two weeks...the ES really perks them up ! They are all blooming, but not profusely...I'm just happy they're alive ! I tried shade cloth tented over one first,but she "Blue Moon" wasn't happy with that...I guess natural shade is better ! I'm in Bullhead City AZ, so when winter arrives, they can probably take more sun...Right now,we're having a "cool" spell with highs in the 90's ! We'll be in triple digits any day now ! I rooted my Australis cutting in water and it did just fine. (I got this cutting last summer in a trade) This spring it growing really well:-) Maybe you are like me, but I almost prefer to start things from cuttings. (although I wouldn't say no to a whole plant!!) I almost feel like I have cheated or something, if I buy anything bigger than a 4 inch pot! Good luck, Diane

Hi all! Had a lovely cool shower! My neighbors just gave me one of those detachable shower heads with the hose on it. They're moving and didn't need it. Last night Frank came over and put it on. It's been years since I've had one of those so it's a real treat! Then I had my lunch--Greek yogurt with a little granola, and my noon cup of coffee. :-). Finally went outside to get those pics for Caroline! So this is the house number we hung up on the side of the house. Underneath it are the stickers that are so tacky. We put a rope hanger on it and stuck a hook on the house with adhesive and then hung the sign on it: It's visible from the street, which was our main objective. Secondarily, we're going for a cottage look, so this was the first small step. Here's the "Cozy Cottage" sign we made and put up on a tree next to the street. It's also very visible and we think it's cute, lol! The second pic here was taken from the street. I know this wouldn't fit everyone's style or taste, but it works for us. I also wanted to mention that I was at the hardware store the other day and they had quite a variety of numbers, mostly metal and/or plastic, in black and kind of brass, that looked like you screw them into the post or wall. Our neighbor has an ex who "poisoned the well" with their children like you've described. Sick twisted mind indeed. He just played it cool and refused to defend himself against her crazy accusations or lower himself to her level when she goaded him. Eventually, each of the kids came to understand what their mother was all about and approached him to re-establish ties. It took YEARS. For your husband's sake, I hope his girls end up seeing the light before he's gone.

I could do that lunch and no need for silverware. Just scoop up the beans and dogs with potato chips....yum!

Chase, it is good to be bad once in awhile! Life is short!
Too bad you didn't have a huge bowl of full fat ice cream to wash it down, LOL!

I remember eating Beanie Weanie when I was a kid. Loved it. Had to heat it up on the stove because we didn't get a microwave until I was 15 or so.

Mine was good and really bad. Cream of vegetable soup made with mostly whipping cream. Yum! Clog goes my arteries!

I love Spaghetti-O's. I can eat a whole can. Never tried adding Parmesan, but I do add pepper.
Another secret indulgence used to be a can of tamales heated up in a can of chili.

chase, I ate that exact dish for dinner last week, when DH was out of town, except I had a blob of yellow mustard to dip my weiner pieces in.
I sat down in front of the tv with my bowl; quick and easy dinner.
