Baking Sheet pan deal at BJ's
Comments (6)I saw them at my local BJ's too. I was tempted but I have such a lot of assorted cookie sheets already I didn't get them. Who knows I may give into temptation next time I go there. I avoid going because I want to buy everything I see! I just got their Cast aluminum fountain for my patio and hope to get it assembled this weekend. I am hoping it will last longer than the resin ones which never last more then a few years for me. Joann...See MoreBaking cinnamon rolls
Comments (7)I am so sorry I didn't get back to you all yesterday. Our internet went out at 4am Sun. morning and only now got fixed. Lightening. I ended up doing one pan at a time. What made it easy is each pan is supposed to sit for at least 20 min. before going in the oven. So while one pan was cooking, the other pan was resting, and so on. I do have room to set them side by side, but I wasn't going to risk it, since I had spent 4 hours on my feet by then. :)...See MoreMuffin pans.....
Comments (29)I had to check the cabinet--two 12-cup regular size, one 6-cup regular, four 12-cup minis, two 6-cup large, and two 6-cup large with fluted cups, kind of like mini bundt pans. I rarely use the fluted pans because it takes extra time to grease them, but they make a pretty presentation for cupcakes, and when the cake is turned upside down, there is a depression in the center for a nice dollop of frosting. I made parmesan popovers last week in the regulars--next time I'll try the large size. I had to ditch my original non-stick muffin pans a couple of years after I received them as wedding gifts. While I was at work one day, my DH decided to make corn muffins. He thought he should prep them the same way he'd seen his grandfather do it, by greasing the cups, then pre-heating the pans at 450 before pouring in the batter. He forgot one important detail--Grandad's pans were cast iron. Makes a lovely crispy crust in a cast iron pan, but ruins the muffin and the pan if it's non-stick....See MoreAnyone make their dressing (stuffing) in muffin pans?
Comments (14)People don't stuff turkeys because it means over cooking the turkey to get the dressing to the safe temperature. I used to stuff the neck but not the interior. It gave me dressing with juices for the day and the rest went into a casserole for later. this was personal Thanksgiving when we had family thanksgiving elsewhere. When relatives made gravy by taking the bag of what ever that is out of the cavity of a butterball turkey and mixed it with a cup of flour and shook it up and then boiled it I thought, we are going to need our own meal later. These days I smoke a breast so no stuffing that way. I take the back and other oddments and make broth and use that in my gravy and dressing. As per the OP, we like our dressing soft-I make cornbread dressing. Sounds clever though for regular bread dressing....See Morerachelellen
