Baking Sheet pan deal at BJ's
Comments (6)I saw them at my local BJ's too. I was tempted but I have such a lot of assorted cookie sheets already I didn't get them. Who knows I may give into temptation next time I go there. I avoid going because I want to buy everything I see! I just got their Cast aluminum fountain for my patio and hope to get it assembled this weekend. I am hoping it will last longer than the resin ones which never last more then a few years for me. Joann...See Morewhere do you keep all your cake, muffin, etc. pans?
Comments (9)This post made me smile because I have a lot of bakeware too. Cookie sheets and muffin pans go into a 12" wide base cab along with cutting boards: Most of my bakeware goes into the 36" wide base cab with pullouts at the far left side of this photo: And my serveware (including square/rectangular baking pans, lasagna pans, etc) goes into the cabinets above and below the MW: Also FWIW, I put in a baking center at the end of the island closest to the range (it doesn't really show in these pix) -- it's just a base cab lowered 4" to provide a comfortable height for rolling out dough and such. It's wonderful for a hardcore baker!...See MoreUsing Non-Stick Baking Pans
Comments (28)I'm a parchment paper fan, too.... You can also line non-stick baking sheets with a Silpat if it's something that requires stirring (like granola or roasting vegetables) and you don't want to risk marring the surface. I have switched to silicon kitchen utensils (or will use wood utensils) to prevent scratching the surface of non-stick baking sheets. If you'd like a "better" pan spray, give Bakers & Chefs Cooking Spray a try (I order it from Amazon.com, used to get it at Sam's Club). Where Pam, and other brands darken and stick to pans after several applications, this brand (used by professional bakers) doesn't darken under heat and get sticky. Just be sure to wash the pans carefully (add a little DAWN Ultra Platinum and water to the pan while washing it). The pan spray contains no water or alcohol and is made with 100% canola oil. -Grainlady...See MoreDo you have sturdy baking sheets and/or pans you love?
Comments (29)Jillius, I can recommend a dishwasher safe cookie sheet and jelly roll pan but you won't like the price. I have the Gold ones which are no longer made but will come up on ebay for about 6x what I paid for them 10years ago. My Gold Jelly roll pans did not have the handles of the newer aluminum finish. They are great pans. You can thank me later once you recover from the shock :-) I second the recommendation for Demeyere. I have a mix of Demeyere and All Clad. I prefer the Demeyere everytime. Mine is the Demeyere Sirocco which they no longer make. For storage, I use all glass containers. My favorites are the Glasslock. Lots of options on the manufacturer website for containers include round bowls, containers with handles, etc. Costco carries Glasslock and for the sets, it is a great value. I have spent enough of your money for today:-) Tomorrow, we can discuss Chopping Boards and Knives!!!! Good luck!...See Morerachelellen
