I love Chicago Dogs. Onions, relish, chopped tomato, cucumber slices, mustard, peppers and seasoned salt. It's a meal!

I love corn dogs with mustard and a beer at the county fair but that is the only time I eat them or drink beer. (Haven't been for about four years.)

I usually eat mine with mustard, ketchup, chili & sweet & hot peppers. I do like them with cheese but leave off the sweet & hot peppers in that case.

My fav is corn dogs, but I love chili dogs, too. No cheese, onion, mustard or anything. If we cook them over a bonfire, I like them burnt with mustard.

Mustard, onions, relish, saurkraut, chili and cheese (not all those things together though). Never ever with ketchup!

A corn dog is a hot dog on a stick that has been dipped into a cornmeal batter, then cooked in hot oil.

Just as there are varying qualities of hot dogs, so are there corn dogs. You can buy (in the grocery store) a box of "State Fair Corn Dogs" that are really good. Be sure to get the all-beef dogs, though.

As for how I like my dogs.... I do like corn dogs with just mustard on them; but for a "regular" hot dog, I like the bun slightly toasted (at least warmed up - nothing worse then a hot dog on a cold bun), with sweet pickle relish and Gulden's mustard. Yum!

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only adult that likes hot dogs! When my grands were here during the Christmas holidays we cooked them in the fireplace. They get a kick out of me liking them as much as they do. I'll take them anyway, just no relish and no ketchup. Grilled onions, peppers, yummo! We live close to a Jr. College and there's a Weinerland there. It's easy to drive through and their corny dogs are to die for. I consider it one of Tyler's finest restaurants. No, I don't want to know what goes into weiners. Ignorance is bliss.

My hotdog bun has to be buttered first to start with. Lots of mustard -more mustard than anything, dill relish, ketchup or KC Masterpiece Bbq sauce.

If I have saurkraut on hand I will make my dog with lots of mustard, onions and saurkraut. No relish, ketchup or bbq sauce.

Sometimes I will dice onions, green pepper and tomatoes to add on top of the first dog I mentioned.

I'm not a chili dog person and don't like my hotdogs with cheese either. I have never eaten a corn dog in my life.

Let there be saurkraut nearby first of all! Add mustard and relish. Chili on a hotdog doesn't interest me and it's too messy.

I'm very fussy about my dogs. It must be a natural casing hot dog preferably Kayem (Boston) on a New England style roll with Gulden's mustard, relish and celery salt (it's a New Hampshire thing). Oh and if I'm lucky I won't get mustard on my hands...LOL
When friends and family come south to visit I request hot dogs. I'm not crazy about the ones they sell here in FL.

You know I gave up eating hot dogs about a year ago. I used to eat them with just ketchup and mustard, nothing else. But I never really liked them, they were just something to have when I didn't know what else to have for a meal. Can't say I miss them.

Relish and Mieacle Whip. I only eat them maybe once a year.

We don't have them often either, usually on picnic type holidays, but I do like them. We usually do the Hebrew National brand, they are great! Lightly toasted bun, onions, kraut, mustard, ketchup and salt and pepper. We have a great shop here, Coney Island, they make awesome dogs! Chili, onions, mustard.....YUM

I really pretty much hate hot dogs. Only the real old-fashioned ones with the skin on and then maybe only a couple of times a year. I eat them a lot in the summer because DH grills a lot and always throws on some dogs, so I eat them so I don't hurt his feelings. If they are grilled I can eat them with lots of everything on them. And working for the county, there are lots of hot dog/brats fundraisers during the season so I usually participate in those at work. It's a cheap hot lunch for a good price and a better cause. Last one I went to was for a young cop whose twin daughters were born 3 months early.

I like two kinds of dogs ...

one kind is messy with chili and cheese, enough to where it drips down the side and I can scoop it up with either fries or chips

the other kind is not-as-messy, garnished with just a ribbon of ketchup and mustard, a sprinkle of sweet relish, and a pinch of chopped onions.

I don't eat hotdogs - my sister worked in a plant that made them - I don't eat them!

I like them all sorts of ways, depending on my mood. Kraut, chili, mustard (sometimes yellow, sometimes spicy), ketchup, relish, onions, cheese - not all at the same time but I love it all. I love corn dogs too. I try not to eat them very often due to the nitrates. The nitrate-free brands I've tried haven't been too bad but they're not Hebrew National. I like all-beef dogs.

Funny you should mention this...Main Man went to the store and got 6 cans of Wolf Brand Chilli...I guess he's getting ready for "dogs".

When GK's are here we cook the dogs on the firepit or fireplace...just for fun.

I like my dogs fired with a little black on it. LOL! Chilli, chopped onion, mustard, relish, and lots o cheese. Must have fritos with it.

I love sausage dogs with mustard and craut.

Both Main Man and I enjoy a good dog as much as a steak!

I like them pretty much any way you want to serve them. Cold from the package, boiled, grilled, on a bun or not. Basic dog would be on a bun with mustard, ketchup, and onions.

I also like messy dogs with chili and cheese or kraut, but those I like in a plate and eat with knife and fork.

Recently I tried cutting the hotdog in half to make it shorter, then wrapping it in a flour tortilla and using my grill press to toast the top and bottom. I added just a bit of cheese to the inside to keep it cohesive, but no condiments because I was afraid they would get too hot and cause burns. So we dipped instead. Wow! I was so impressed with myself I posted it on recipezaar ROFL!

I don't understand people that are grossed out to find out what is in something they like. How can it be gross if you like it? I ate chocolate with ants in it (on purpose LOL, not infested ;) without knowing what it was. It was very good - like little lemon flavoured crunchies. After finding out, I still continued to eat it. After all, it was GOOD wasn't it? Off cuts were the reason hotdogs and balogna were invented to begin with - to avoid waste. As long as it isn't contaminated with gross stuff that isn't supposed to be in there, it doesn't make me squeamish.

Oh...how I miss hot dogs!! Once this kid is out, I'm having one. Love them grilled!! Only ketchup on it, though.

BUT I will eat a chili dog with: Bun, dog, Chili, cheese. That's it! I'm very plain.

Jenni, if you like kraut at all, you might want to try it. It's so good. And if you cook it on a grill, even better, the dog I mean. Or a campfire, OMG, that's good. I'm the opposite of you, sometimes I have the dogs and no buns.

Must be all beef. Prefer a toasted bun but will eat a steamed one. I will not eat a hot dog on a cold bun under any circumstances.

Boiled or steamed I like them with pickle relish,pepper relish, yellow mustard ,red onion,tomato and shredded cheddar.

Grilled (almost burnt) I like them on a toasted bun or french roll with brown mustard and sliced dill pickle. Sometimes I like the the same way as above too.

I really miss the New England style buns.They don't sell them in the West any more. With those I like the bun buttered and grilled with a grilled frank and just a bit of yellow mustard. They don't need anything else.

Weird thing about me. Hot dogs on a plate without a bun I eat with ketch-up. On a bun I can't stand ketchup.
