Raven: I thought I smelled Italian cooking coming up from the south. Sure enough that delicious smell was coming from your house. Kathsgrdn: That must have been one big meal. Aren't leftovers wonderful? Sue: Cook once, eat twice (or more). It's great not just for not having to cook again but financially. Casey: I like baked chicken. I've never tried roasting vegetables. Care to tell me how you do it? Jasdip: What a delicious looking photo! And you made roasted vegetables too. Angela: I can fully visualize one of those kabobs on a plate/platter in front of me. Georgysmom: I bet you're being too hard on yourself. I know you are a very good cook. Glenda: Another great sounding restaurant. Got a chuckle out of what your meal was called. So many things on the menu, I'd have a hard time choosing. Morz: Next time you're having this "easy" meal, call me up. I could eat it at least once a week. Shirley

Stuffed patty pan squash is on the menu, as much as I hate to use the oven. The stuffing will consist of squash innards, jalapeno and chipotle peppers (small doses), corn, chopped tomato, quinoa, seasoned with a little cilantro, lime zest, and topped with queso fresco. It's gotta be good, right? A neighbor brought over a Sugar Baby watermelon which will be enjoyed later.

My husband has said he will grill the nice bone in ribeye steaks we picked up and I am cooking fresh corn on the cob to go with it and sliced farm tomatoes. Beautiful day but oh so hot!! still over a hundred right now and will likely stay there for a while. I am headed to the atrium to turn on my sprinkler system I have set up in there. I can make it rain! LOL the plants and birds love it!

I made a pile of zucchini noodles, sauteed them briefly in a little butter with some minced garlic and served it up with grilled shrimp and smoked sausage kabobs. I steamed some broccoli, too, to stir in with the zoodles. It's been very rainy here and very steamy when it isn't raining. No sitting on the patio, that's for sure.
