Mouth-watering blank canvas - PHOTOS
Comments (13)Love the view and nice open lawn, and can understand why you would want to screen the neighbors out when they are that close. Perhaps some bushes that grow 10-15 feet high near the road/property line would give needed screening of the neighbors without damaging the view or breaking up the property. With the slope, you could plant low growing bushes closer to the house, possibly creating a small front lawn followed by the larger lawn, and still block the view of the neighbors, or plant larger growing bushes as you move further away from the house....See MoreYour Canvas - My Guest Bedroom
Comments (43)Hi, I find guest rooms to be the most fun to decorate because you can sort of make it your dream room that stays clean all of the time :-) I second Lynn's suggestions and would let them know in advance if you are going to have a hairdryer or iron in case they are inclined to pack it. I'm sort of a linen junky and decorate my rooms around my duvet covers. We're in New England so down is a must (and down alternative works great too!). I own the Sienna Paisely duvet and love it, however, when I brought it home it almost had a yellow undertone to it. I have a very neutral room so I ended up bringing in yellow accents and it looks great. I also own the PB Painterly Paisley in blue and that looks fabulous with beige/tan. You may want to look at that one as it will probably go with your existing wall color. I believe it's on sale now and I also tend to find good duvet deals on ebay. Oh and I would definitely try making the headboard dark!...See MoreOversize framed art/print/canvas
Comments (2)That might be hard to find because of shipping cost. Also that looks too big to fit through a standard size doorway. Maybe you live in a home with a doorway big enough, then what about rounding corners to get it to the space you envision??? You could buy mural wallpaper and create your own frame. My guess is either you will spend a fortune hiring someone to create something that big and actually getting it to you or you could try diy. I LOVE big pieces like the one you posted! Another thought is maybe something like that can be mounted on a collapsible frame, if there is such a thing....See MoreDark canvas and dark wall, how to frame?
Comments (6)Just some food for thought. I used to go to the same frame shop for years, and the owner once told me, "Frame the art." Meaning chose a frame that compliments the art. See what they have in the frame shop and go from there. The biggest mistake you could make would be to chose a color or style of frame that does not compliment the style and colors in the art. That advice has yet to fail me, even moving my art around from home to home or room to room. I'm el cheapo on a piece that big so I would probably go with the plain black, but the other options mentioned here would be great also....See Moreanitamo
