Thank you everyone for your advice and comments. Today I am going to buy some dark stain. The frame is a very dark brown, almost a mahogeny. My ceilings are very low, so the center of the picture is actually just about at my eye level and I am 5' 3". With the low ceilings, it is deceiving. I have to be gone all day today again, so I cannot get back to staining the shelf for a bid. Again, thank you. Your advice has already made a big difference in how it looks. dody

Annie, Mtn, Holly, & jakefield - Thank you all for adding your opinions. I appreciate the feedback so much! It seems unanimous for going with the larger (27") prints & for keeping them close together (about 2"). It also helps to hear so many think they should come down a little bit closer to the top of the sofa. Most of you like the look with the trunks on the outside. I'll probably start out with the trunks on the outside and then see how it looks in relation to my sofa & the whole room. I'm aiming to purchase these at the end of December. Then, I can take pics & post a follow up.

It seems more unified and neutral while keeping the posters we like. And the one dark blue pillow with bird has better pillow company now. The plants will have to wait ;) From the point of view of someone browsing “real estate pictures”, would you change anything?
