Gift With Purchase???

I love them, do you??? I am going to pick my Clinque one up today~~~the makeup bag with it is so cute~~~does not matter that I have about 15 of them, they are all different and I never use them~~dumb eh???

I hardly ever buy lipstick since I always get one with the gift~~~just wish they would do a better variety of colors.

I usually only do the Clinque ones, I have 3 stores by me that do them and I always run over and get them. My DGD loves me to do it since I fill one of the bags with all of the stuff through the year I do not want and she gets it.

GWP~~~BOGO~~and coupons at my fav shops keep me going:)

Oh and since I am a senior and ordered my Clinque product at a pre sale that happened to be Senior Tuesday I get 20% off my purchase YIPPEEE!!!

I've seen the Clinique ads that advertise the free gift, but how much do you have to spend to get the free gift?

LOL... my dad LOVED them! some of the advertised stuff is sooo cool looking. He would by the product, and give it to his girlfreind, and then give us the cool gifts! lOL I don't use brandname cosmetic stuff... so, no I don't do it. .. lol

I LOVE your idea and can't wait to do the same with my grand daughter who is 2 years old now. I worked long hours while raising my three children alone and did a similar thing on much smaller scale with each of my three children - giving them each an hour or so alone with me each week. There things might be more activity than you would wish for but we have always loved the outdoors. My son had few interests and was the most difficult for me to connect with. Things he LOVED: flying a kite, roller skating, miniture golf, video games, rafting down a little fork of a nearby river that took us a number of weeks to build the raft from trashed lumber(bad time of year for you and I don't know where you live in Washington), BBQ breakfast on a tiny grill in the wilderness park (bacon on toast with hot cereal and fruit brought in a thermas was fast and easy then we would go hiking. I know you could take easy snacks without the trouble of the grill but he LOVED to eat hot food in the wide open spaces and it just tasted better there. Things he did not like but your grand son may: bicycle a along wetlands or beach or natural trail, walk thru a botanical garden, plant a tree (my carrotwood and palm trees were always dropping seedlings)in the countryside, scrapbooking, ceramics you mentioned, bought him a disposable camera and spent a day learning basis photography skills and taking pictures of family members, pets, friends, school or whatever he wished for a "My Life in 1974" (or whatever year it was), made a family tree collage from baby pictures of all the family members, built a bird house, bat house, visited the zoo, visited the farm that sells parrots, visited an ostrige farm, visited a llama farm, visited a turkey farm, had him write a story, and draw illistrations that I had bound into a book but now you can buy kits over Amazon.com for books you can have published and dishes they paint, send in and have made permanent. In fact, I have seen kits on Amazon.com to paint their own umberella, table lamp, cup, bird bath, bird feeder, bird house, etc. Also Home Depot or Lowes have kits for bird houses, bird feeders. I don't know if ANY of these ideas can work for you, but good look and I am sure you will get some GREAT suggestions. My girls LOVED to go for "high tea" where a friend of mine who owned a British tea house. (I was a nurse and massage/accupressurist and we would do trades). I do not know that your grandson would enjoy high tea. Also, the children LOVED to go to a really fancy restaurant (we could not afford to eat at) but on special occasions I would order each a Shirley Temple type of drink and we could overlook the harbor or bay to end a wonderful day. Oh, we use to drive to Disneyland and watch the grand finale fireworks in the Disneyland Hotel sipping a juice or milk. I don't know if you have anything in your area that you can get a "piece of".

It's their prices that are doing them in....they USED to be competitive on their toy prices. Now they're MUCH MUCH higher than the Target which is directly across the street from them in my area. It won't surprise me if ours closes. Sad, really. I hate to see any stores leave. Competition makes for better prices. I'll bet if ours closes, Target will raise their toy prices!

Ikea says in its terms: ...."Cannot be combined with any other offers". Does this mean the cards can't be used to purchase items on sale? No, that means that you can't use a coupon to purchase the gift card. They currently have a $25 off $150 coupon. So you can't use that coupon to purchase the gift cards, but once purchased you can pay with a gift card and still use the coupon.

I had to spend I think $21.50~~but because it was senior day and I have a credit card for that shop I got 20% off :)
And an extra freebie for doing a presale:) It is a mascara and lip gloss all in one wand. My DGD will love it. I am wearing the lipstick right now and love it, it is a new shade I have never had. All in all a great haul counting the other goodies in the bag:)

I love them!! I won't buy just to get a gift but I do purchase the things I need at times that I get a gift. I usualy use Lancome cosmetics and Estee Lauder perfumes.....love those free gifts!

ahh clinique gift w/ purchase, brings back good memories lol. when i was a teenager i started using clinique and there were no less than 20 different department stores in the chicago area. i used to have the schedule on what store chain had their gift when lol. infact 14+ yrs ago one of the first websites i routinely got email from was clinique on their gift schedule. i started using philosophy & bare escentuals 12 yrs ago so i don't usually get the clinique gift thing anymore but i still get a little heart flutter when i see the latest gift advertised in ads or newspaper lol. i still have my hand written list of stores and dates in chicago for the gifts lol and yes i do have quite a make-up bag collection, thou over the yrs i have given many away...~ liz

I always seem to miss out on them. The town/city I live in doesn't have a big enough store to carry Clinique. I'm going into Omaha tomorrow, maybe I'll get to a store that has this going on. Dillard's or Yonkers.

I love Clinique and sometimes do the Gift purchases. Since I have recently lost my eye brows a friend and I were discussing the drawing on of brows and she offered some hints since she does do that and I never had...We even discussed the color I would need etc etc and a few days later her husband brought me a gift bag with a couple of eyebrow pencils, a set of brushes and one of the freebie gift packs that she got when she bought some things. The eyebrow pencils work great and the brushes are perfect for what I need.

I like getting the freebies from Clinique....I do Estee Lauder to sometimes. If I ever see Chanel makeup here locally I am going to try it, my Granddaughter had some on and her skin looked beautiful with that makeup.

They're not free for me, because I buy them on eBay. :-)

I would never spend enough on cosmetics to acquire a Gift With Purchase the usual way, but I often see them for sale on eBay. That's how I get most of my lipsticks (Clinique, Lancome, Estee Lauder) and occasionally other products.

Lunchlady, which store is having the promotion now? I need some Clinique, anyway, so it'd be great to get the gift with it. Is it one of the chain department stores?
