There was a store flyer in the Sunday paper. I drove to the store today and it was closed. Before Christmas? What about the gift cards purchased as Christmas gifts?

I think they should have waited until the 2nd week in January before doing this.

Sherry, Excellent pictures. I thought I went through a lot of cameras in my active years, but not as many as you have lately. I'm still getting by on that one model up from the Canon you recommended way back when. But then I have had nothing flying here the last two years to take pictures of anyway. Gave all the other digitals to my son, including that Canon S3 IS and a drawer full of accessories I never did use. The SLR's with lenses in tow are too heavy to lug around anymore. Please call the bugs and plants whatever you want - common names, acronyms/initialisms, etc. I've given up on the folks here using taxonomy, correct taxonomic grammar or entomolgical terms even though some here do have enough experiance to be doing so and teaching others. I'll still use them just like I have for 47 years (HC)... so I guess we can all be confused together. LOL Larry

I see what you mean about brown leaves until the plant reaches the fence, so I think you might be right about the heat. I think I might try a mounding clem between two of those and see what happens. I think no one can really tell you what will happen and this may be a time for some experimentation on your part. Are you sure the clems you have planted are only 8" apart? It looks like more to me, but maybe the photo is misleading. I've never overwintered clems in a pot in our zone unless they were buried up to the pot tops in soil, but when I've done that, I've had very good luck. Again, you may have to try and see what happens, but I wouldn't do it unless you can sink them somewhere for the winter.

I am not a PRO, but would like to throw out a comment or two. The ability of an a/c system to reduce humidity is dependent on the temperature of the evaporator (inside) coil. With the emphasis on 'higher SEER' (larger coils) these days, a higher SEER coil of the same capacity will have a higher (hotter) temperature, and thus will condense less water. Airflow is also a factor. Most units are run with an airflow of 400 CFM per ton. This will produce an expected degree of performance with respect to sensible (temperature you can feel) and latent (humidity) capacities (removal). Your home's heat gain profile may require more latent capacity than is being delivered. If so, the airflow can be adjusted (approx 350 CFM/T) to increase latent capacity. By the same token, some contractors may adjust the airflow higher (> 400 CFM/T) to achieve a higher SEER. In such a case, humidity removal will suffer. Five ton units have special needs with respect to return air. I will refrain from commenting on your situation. V

Homeagain, the walls were originally knotty pine. I had to seal each and every knot with kilz primer, then we painted them. I know many would consider it a mortal sin to paint wood, but I just wasn't feeling the orange, and it was so dark and dreary in the rooms. We get very little natural light b/c of all the tree cover outside, so I wanted to brighten it up. I think I've posted photos of what it looked like before. The color of the paint is called Malted Milk by Valspar at lowes. I love it. Thank you all for the compliments.

Wow! A toy store going out of business right before Christmas? That's the last thing you'd expect to see. This has been a horrible year for the toy industry.

Wow indeed! They tore the one on Dale Mabry down a couple of years ago too. I was just on their website and Brandon, Clearwater, St. Pete and Wesley Chapel are listed there. Nothing in Tampa anymore.

They closed our Toys R Us here (Pueblo, Colorado) several years ago. I couldn't believe it, it was the only one around the area, the nearest is probably Colorado Springs or Denver now.

I was in Toys R Us today and noticed the prices are so much higher than Amazon. I'd hate to see them disappear though.

It's their prices that are doing them in....they USED to be competitive on their toy prices. Now they're MUCH MUCH higher than the Target which is directly across the street from them in my area. It won't surprise me if ours closes. Sad, really. I hate to see any stores leave. Competition makes for better prices. I'll bet if ours closes, Target will raise their toy prices!

I think someone told me awhile back that they want to concentrate on Babies R Us. Maybe they are slowly closing the toy stores???

intherain-You might be right. One of the Toys R Us here added a Babies R Us department in their store. Not as big as a normal store, but a lot of the basic baby stuff. Made it easy for me, as I was shopping for DD's (3) gifts and a baby shower gift.

And for the record, I think both places are overpriced!
