My ''Sliders & Fries''

I've been most of the summer with very little availability and accessibility to the computer. Don't ask! I'm still seething over it!

Anyway, I wanted to jump on the "cupcake sliders" bandwagon! I made some for the girls' cheerleading camp this summer and they turned out great! Here's a picture of the burger and fries...before adding extra fries to the box:

I used the template on Bakerella's website and made the {{gwi:1564186}} (out of card stock), {{gwi:1564187}} (out of velum), and {{gwi:1564188}} (out of tissue paper). [Just a note...the tissue paper wouldn't feed through the printer so I had to tape it to a sheet of regular paper.]

I used sugar cookie dough to make the fries. I added a little clove, turbinado sugar, and cinnamon to make it look like salt & pepper on the fries. I had a lot of {{gwi:1564189}} , so I went back and added fries to each lunch box.

They were a huge hit! I made 36 "lunches." I would have loved to have used green coconut for the shredded lettuce, but I had already been told no coconut desserts! I think I'll try to make "cheese" next time, too. I made the brownies in two 11 x 9 foil pans, so they came out the right thickness for the "burgers."

And do you remember my problem with the liners falling off the cupcakes? Here, on a project where I needed to remove the liners...not a single one came off on its own! LOL! Figures!

So...it was a lot of fun. It wasn't nearly as hard to do as I expected. Thanks to loves2cook4six for getting me excited about trying these!
