What's For Supper?

I don't know yet. Plenty of leftover noodles, but don't think I want that yet. There is a fresh raspberry pie. That probably will get cut and gotten into. Tell me what you are fixing and maybe I will get in the mood for something to fix.

I have tilapia ready to go in the oven, along with a sweet potato. And I did go ahead and mix up the Irish brown bread, so it's in there too. When I'm going to fix something in the oven, I try to think of anything else that I'm wanting baked. If it's same/similar temps, I bake it all at the same time to save on electric.

DH found a new recipe he wanted to try and it was yummy! Sort of an Asian stir fry with chicken, lots of veggies and a sauce of peanut butter, curry paste, chicken broth and other wonderful flavors. We had it over rice, and a couple of cookies for dessert.

Yum, everything sounds so good! I love that fundraiser idea, Bob. Was everything delicious? Nicole, your supper sounds great; absolutely like something that I would fix. I've found a couple of recipes and may try one this weekend. Party, I've tried to like Buffalo chicken wings but I don't care for the sauce. I love grilled chicken wings, though, sprinkled with some cayenne! The bleu cheese dressing is a perfect foil for something spicy. I like celery sticks with it, too. Jasdip....there's no way that your supper wasn't delicious! I can almost taste it, now.

Each day of the week has a theme that I follow, and Monday is "Big Meal". That means a large cut of meat so there are leftovers for lunches/sandwiches/stir-fry, and possibly enough for the freezer, and possibly the base for soup. Last night was ham, fresh pole beans from the garden in "Spicy Asian Green Beans". Also from the garden - Potatoes O'Brian (with onions & peppers), a gluten-free banana muffin (from the freezer), and for dessert - I made a 3-minute Microwave Apple Crisp with a Jonathan apple, some raisins, palm sugar, apple pie spice, and a dab of butter. Served with a little whipping cream and homemade granola on the top - which is a Q&E substitute for Apple Pie and Ice Cream at our house (I hate to make pies so I fake them when possible ;-).

My son brought me half of his turkey, dressing, I made some mashed potatoes and gravy to go with it. So what did I have? Leftovers of course, without having to make the 'firsts'.

I just fried up 4 large lean hamberger patties. A little later, I'll assemble Patti-melts, made with rye bread, fried onions, swiss cheese & chedder for Hubs and pepperjack cheese for me. I'll grill them up later. I make 4 of them so we can each have one for supper, then we'll have the other ones for lunch tomorrow. Dottie

Plain white rice. We are finally keeping food down around here. White rice and cold water. Never thought it could taste so good LOL!

Just woke up from a long nap, been sick and went to the doctor today to get some prednisone and antibx. Not really hungry but am eating some comfort food, cream of chicken soup, chips and bologna & cheese sandwich. Kids are at their father's today.
