Comments (13)Happy birthday, PK! At what beach are you? We live close to Surfside....and sort of close to Galveston. My husband is working, cleaning of the engine in a shrimp boat that sunk that belonged to his friend. He said it should have only taken 3 hours....and this is the fifth day they have worked on it. I didn't ask what, but evidently ran into some problems. He didn't come home, so I took him some clean clothes. I went by a HEB store and bought fresh orange juice, a piece of cake and guacamole and chips. That was my supper. Comments (6)My son brought me leftovers, along with turkey broth/drippings which I used to make gravy. Will use the rest of it to cook some noodles this weekend. Power was off for 3 hours. Was so glad it came back on, and so happy temps were high enough here that I could stay reasonably okay. You don't realize what all you use electricity for until you have a power outage.
