I have a thick ham steak I will put it the oven and bake have garlic mashed potatoes and green beans to go with it.

I was out and about today too. Lazy, so just had a tv dinner. I'll cook tomorrow. Every time someone mentions homemade noodles, I think of the country school where I spent the first 8 yrs in school. On the last day of school, we had a picnic for the community, covered dish. Of course most of the women cooked for an army, and all so good. My favorite was the homemade noodles. The line was started with first grade, then second, etc. Alas, by about the 5th grade, the noodles were gone.

Just got back from a long drive to a cousin's memorial service. Well, I didn't drive, another cousin did and her sister and my aunt also rode along. Anyway, we didn't want to stay for the church dinner afterwards as it would be late in getting home. I was getting hungry a couple miles from home. So after they dropped me off at my car, I went right to the McDonalds drive-thru for my supper and got a double cheese burger and a large order of fries.

Been a looong time since I did that but as usual, at first it tastes oh so good. But then soon after, it's like, "Ugh. ewww". : )

I also had thick cut ham steaks, but I grilled them on the gas grill along with grilled pineapple rings, baked potatoes, green beans.

Tomorrow is even easier..I took chili out of the freezer and will make corn bread. If I didn't have to think about cooking for the grands I'm raising I'd probably have cereal often. Lol.

I wanted to eat lightly today because I had a pizza binge at work yesterday. So, I opened up a can of chicken soup and added a handful each of mustard greens, spinach and spring mix, cooked until wilted. Tasty!

Good bulk and texture, too!

Lasagna with a layer of spinach. It's in the oven right now....:0) Since the oven is still hot from baking 21 baking powder biscuits.....which I then made into egg/cheese/sausage breakfast sandies....and froze. whew!

raee: Thanks for sharing that idea adding good stuff to a can of soup. I'll keep that in mind.

We had a very delicious but probably completely unhealthy dinner today! It was perogies (dough stuffed with potato/cheese or sauerkraut filling). To add to the decadence, I cooked chopped onions in butter until they caramelized for sprinkling over the perogies. Yummy and a real comfort food in our house!

I made a pot of chili.

Some vaguely Italian chicken breast, fettucine, and peppers and onions. The noodles sound really good right now.

I haven't had pierogies in a long time I used to have them frequently.

Final leg home from a road trip -- stopped at a diner and had a grilled Ruben along with a glass of water.

Was out shopping today for some new tops and pants for myself so didn't have lunch until 3:30. Had stopped at Wegmans to pick up a few things and ordered a sub which I ate when I got home. Went to the clubhouse tonight for game night and nibbled a bit on some snacks.

Tonight it was garlic prawns and broccoli and mashed potatoes

We were out of town running errands today, it was Costco day. Couple of other stops, when I'd planned for Friday earlier in the week I'd forgotten it would be Veterans Day and everyplace would be crowded and with sales. I'm not great with crowds ;0) and the lines to pay at Penney's were silly long but we did accomplish what we'd set out to do. Pulled off in a little town about halfway home to a Mexican restaurant we knew to be good, just had a very quick dinner there.

We had leftover 5 hour stew. Actually it was 7 hour stew, as I doubled the recipe so I could share with daughter, so I gave it extra time in the oven. Made it yesterday. Had enough for two meals for us and 2 meals for daughter and friend. Also made a double batch of coleslaw to go with it.

Dessert was Sara Lee Sweet Potato Pie which was also shared. It was pretty good.

We made hamburgers with all the fixings minus French fries.

Believe it or not, I sautéed some onion with radish greens in butter. Added yellow squash, tomatoes, black beans and left over pasta, shredded cheddar cheese with a splash of 1/2 and 1/2 and seasonings. Boy it was good! Hubby had a tuna melt on pita.
