My Love Song bushes have good repeat bloom, maybe it just needs a little more time to adjust. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Family couseling. Run, don't walk. I agree that your partner does not need to be the one disciplining your children at this stage. You all need some coping mechanisms and to hear from a 3rd party what is and isn't OK to do. Your DD has issues, no question. I am glad to see that you are trying to keep her in line and show respect. Sadly, most likely due to her upbringing up til now, she is lacking boundaries and some basic manners. You don't want either woman resenting the other, so get some outside help from someone schooled in these issues. My DH and I never really saw a therapist and I have MANY issues and resent him for lots of things - the least of which is how he never defended me when his kids were rude. Now, he resents me, I think, because I want his 24 y.o. DD to move out of my house and be independent. She was to be here 3-4 m. but we're now at 6...and she's working, etc, but passing all her bills onto dad. Regardless of whether or not you do seek counseling, perhaps a family discussion of what is and is not appropriate would be in line. "If you do this_____ then you will lose the privilege of ____________." That way, your DD knows the boundaries and can choose to conform or if she doesn't, suffer the consequences. I think your gf needs to have a talk here, too, and reassure the girl that she's not trying to displace her mother. Kids often have illusions of mom returning and being the picture perfect mother. I don't know if I'd close the door on that dream, but maybe say that biomom and you will not be getting back together, though there is a special place in your heart for her as she is the mother of the kids. That being said, state that you would like to have a longterm relationship w/ your gf and want all sides to coexist nicely. Ask what would help each side and work on it. Good luck, keep posting, Dana

Oooh! Hope she finds it! Here's the story of why I don't wear a newer, bigger diamond after 45 years of marriage. DH and I had been married less than a year. We were getting ready to go to the World's Fair in Montreal. We'd have to kennel our Westie, Charlie, for the days we'd be away. Two weeks before we left I took the dog to the laundry room of our apartment to give him a bath. When I brought him back to our apartment I noticed that my diamond ring was no longer on my finger. PANIC! I looked all over our apartment, but *knew* the ring had slid off my finger, unnoticed, while I was soaping the dog. There was no catch on the laundry sink drain -- a straight shot to the sewer. We called the insurance company, who sent out a boob. He started by saying, "Well, you know these things DEpreciate..." (Not!) Anyway, the company soon said they'd pay for a replacement. DH and I went downtown to choose a new stone and setting. The jeweler said it could be ready a day before we were scheduled to leave town. The evening we chose the replacement we came home to find Charlie sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor. I swear he was *smiling*. In front of him was a bit of liquid and a twist of his hair -- coiled around MY RING! Dear Charlie! He'd *swallowed* it when it came off my finger! The vet said he would have kept swallowing hair until he could safely bring it up his throat again. Sweet boy, my HERO! (And this was two days before he would have been boarded.) When Charlie was nine I took him to the vet one morning to have his teeth cleaned. His breath was awful and I thought he must have a bad tooth. I was to pick him up that afternoon. The vet called me in less than an hour. He asked permission to keep Charllie under anesthesia and let him go. Charlie had something rare: cancer of the tongue. I'll never replace this ring. It's irreplaceable.
