And, this is my best friends daughter singing. After the funeral my daughter said she wanted that song on a CD..and she wanted Eirene to be the one singing it. Then, my MIL said that if Eirene recorded it..SHE wanted a copy. We found a guy (has his own group) with a recording studio in his home. My friend and I took Eirene to his home and in less than a hour..this was the results. The man even did the CD cover for the CD. Eirene's picture on the front..and inside is a picture of Ronnie and underneath the picture it has "In Remembrance of Ronnie"! My daughter and MIL were both pretty happy! My daughter has listened to hers, but my MIL hasn't been able to listen to hers yet!

Great song choices. I played He Stopped Loving Her Today at my son's funeral. It was the first thing he said/sang when he started talking again at age 3. He has always loved George Jones. Leader of the Band is one of my favorite songs of all time. A song that my son loved was by one of his favorite bands Due West...So Long My Friend. He wanted it played at my sister's memorial but they couldn't do it live because they were touring. We played that song at his funeral as well, at the request of the lead singer of the band. Just last night there was a remembrance ceremony / party for a friend who passed away in September after an 10 month battle with brain cancer. One of the speakers noted that Muffin (as everyone called her) lived in a small apartment, and often said since so many people had invited her to dinners and parties over the years she wanted sometime to throw a really big party and invite all the people who had invited her to things. I helped organize two different slideshows to be projected on screens, one of pictures of Muffin, and another of pictures of hers from her travels. Additionally each of the tables was decorated with a theme from some facet of her life. One with an African Safari theme. One for Peru. One for Paris, One for Montana, One for the Kentucky Derby that she usually attended, One for the "Cosmo Girls" friends she'd attend spa getaways with, One for her beloved dogs, who appeared on her Christmas cards most years, and several related to horses and riding, the center of her life for many years. After a brief ceremony and statements of remembrance from 10 or so people, there was a catered dinner, followed by music and dancing. There were probably around 250 people in attendance and I think Muffin would have been truly pleased at how it turned out.

I am doing all right. Thank you for asking. She has been right by our side the last few days. The last irony is, one of the three children's car was not in the line for the procession. My child and I had been listening to Neil Diamond on the way to the funeral home for the funeral. Mommy's favorite! I was trying to cheer up a little bit before I had to greet people. I asked the ousted sibling to come in my car, because there was no way in heck I was letting a family member tag along behind. My sweet sweet child had the presence of mind to play the song that meant the most to them. So we all sang Neil Diamond on the way to the gravesite. Would never have happened have they been left out, the way it was. Others may not get this, and I don't care, there's more joy than sorrow because we know that our mom is home. She is with her parents, her grandparents, her cousins, making new friends, and getting ready for us. It does hurt. But if I look at it from her eyes, she's released, she's at peace, and it will be but a twinkling of an eye before I see her again.

All four of my grandparents, along with both of my parents, both of my husband's parents, my brother, and my first husband, are all there, too... Fantastic song. Eirene has such a beautiful voice.

Hmmmm...I'm not sure what's happened, but it was working earlier.

Everything I have read or heard about you and your husband just shows sooooo much love. He was a lucky man in his life to have that kind of love...and you must have been lucky to have him.

I finally was able to access the file this morning. It's a very beautiful and comforting song. Eirene has a beautiful voice and the recording was very well done.

I get a message it cant be opened because of a corrupt or incorrect file type and its reccommended I cancel the download cause it wants to save in my computer somewhere?

I did look up the lyrics online yesterday because I couldn't hear it and what I read was VERY beautiful!!!!
I wish I could hear it sung!

I'm not sure what's up with that site. It seems to work sometimes and sometimes not!

I have the song saved to my computer and I'd be happy to email it to anyone that can't get the site to work..and wants to hear it.

That song was so pretty. While I was listening to it I opened my myspace page and saw where today is the anneversary of the loss of my friends baby. That really made me cry. Is there anyway I can send this song to her? I don't know how to copy it from here.
