crying after sex

hi all,

i was wondering if any women here cry after sex? i do. it happens whether the sex is good or bad, whether i'm in a good mood or not. whatever else is going on in my life (good or bad) after sex, i have to shed a couple of tears. mind you, it's not balling and sobbing, but it's a couple of tears that sober me up. i'm not sure what it could mean. this is the first person i've been with sexually and since he's my husband..he's probably going to be the last. so i dont' know if i'd have this reaction with someone else.

our marriage is fine. we have ups and downs. since getting married we've had a lot of changes in our life, moving around, changing jobs, living far from our families. basically, there are a lot of things going on that impact the stability of our marriage. so i'm not sure whether the tears are indicative of my underlying unhappiness or whether they are just a hormonal imbalance. i'd appreciate any woman sharing with me whether this has happened to her and under what conditions.

It has happend to me before...but not on an everytime basis.

The first time I relaized I loved my husband and we did it I cried.I think I was just overcome with emotions for him.

Because your husband is your first,maybe you just havent realized how emotional sex can be.It is certainly more then it is made out to be on T.V. and what not.
I'm guessing your other troubles COULD be adding to the issue as well.
Maybe you are feeling vulnerable because of your other problems (moving far from family) and it just comes out more after having sex because you are having an emotional release.
I also get weepy right around THAT time of the month,so it could be hormonal too.

I do fairly regularly; it's very emotional for me, regardless of whether or not the sex is good or bad. It's not that I'm sad. I'm just overwhelmed, and feel so very close to my husband, and love him so much. It's fairly common, and totally normal -- although, if you're actually crying from sadness, that would probably be something to investigate with a therapist.

Not Much. I suspect you have a Pacific Sales in N Calif, like we do in S Calif. I ordered a 30 inch Electrolux Icon from them and had it a week later.I didn't havta call Electrolux, or the distributor for same, etc etc(Like I did with the fancy cooktop it replaced)--and that took over 6 months to get--playing the same kind of games that you are now. No venting issues with The Electrolux, as it vents around the side, near the top, alto have never heard it's internal fan come on, even using power boost. Was very easy to install, very good instructions including clearances etc etc etc. I did havta redo the granite, as I had got carried away with the "fancy Stuff" and had to replace a 36" semi-circle flush mount cooketop with the induction. But was well worth it, The induction makes that other piece of junk look like a toy, even thou it had all the "Goodies"--Timed burners, bridging burners etc etc. Sometimes it just a good idea to follow the "Kiss Principle" Find something that is easy to purchase is reliable and doesn't total your checking account. I don't think any spotting is normal. I was doing that at the age of 45 and the doc did a DNC, which didn't stop it. He said even a little spotting can be a sign of a serious problem so he suggested a hysterectomy. I had one, but if I had it to do over I would have them not remove the ovaries. My problem turned out to be fibroid tumors.

I do cry sometimes. Usually a happy quick cry because I love my SO and he loves me and I get overwhelmed. But I remember I did it before with other people who weren't that emotionally connected to me and it was very obvious during love making. But good or bad I think crying is normal for a woman.

You would be suprised at how many women cry after sex. As women we are naturally more emotional. Sex helps release our emotions. Google "crying after sex" and see what all comes up. You'll be very happy that your not alone!

Oh, it's very common- I think it's the hormones we get rolling, like after you have a baby. The French call it "le petit mort" - the little death- because sometimes you weep and then you don't feel like moving for a bit. That's nature's way of trying to fertilize, women are programmed to want to lie still a few minutes. We're interesting creatures.

Had experience with this with one woman years ago. I freaked. She told me not to worry about it. Later explained how it was on her end...basically part of the "happy ending" for her. After that, it was quite wonderful on every occasion. Leaned to love bringing her to it.
