What's for Lunch??

I just ate or tried to eat (I should say)...an organic bean, cheese, rice burrito. I couldn't even chew the tough thing.

I told DH last night to buy me some lunch meat next week...ham-roast beef or turkey.

My normal lunch is Peanut Butter sandwich, pretzels and a few cookies.

bk thanks, I well understand the traditional food culture. I was omnivorous until 2007, now I'm 46 years old (in june), the only regret I have is not having started earlier to be vegan. Change eating habits it is not so difficult, for me it was indeed an extraordinary experience. Ken, I prefer escargots alive and kicking, ...preferably not on my hostas hehehe ...anyway I don't use products to kill them. Gary assassin, you are a meat cutter? there are still people who eat meat? ;-) josy67, thanks for the compliments. My advice is to try the Honeybells, I'm sure you'll like it, my plantaginea was soft and very tasty. Jan and tj thanks, but for me all meats are inappropriate ;-)

Hello renee1958 I raise my own meal worms. In April of 07 I bought 500 mealworms. Then put a 100 of them in the ref - took them out every so often to clean and feed & changed the bedding. Today I have 3 plastic containers 15"x9"x5" full of Â¾ - 1 inch meal worms. It is a "dusty" job changing the bedding. I try to do this outside when the weather is nice. I sift out the bedding for the beetles about every 3 weeks and then pour the bedding in a plastic container (15"x9"x5") the eggs from the beetles are in the bedding. If you have any extra time you could start your own.. It is not hard to do and it is interesting. The warmer weather will be here soon so the mealworm cycles will be faster. Now as far as my bird feeder!! It was a Thistle Selective Feeder. The man at the bird store said he had one left but the feeder part was broken. My bluebirds never eat out of a tube feeder so I did not really need that part -- I got it for less than half price. When I got home I just took out the tube and cut the cage in half and turned it upside down so the bottom is now the top cover, put a small bowl in it for the worms. The protected bluebird feeder with the plastic sides that you see in the picture has mealworms in it also. The blues never go in it. The only bird to use it are the Carolina Wrens, they have learned how to climb into the opening and no other birds bother them... I am not sure where in Horry County you are, but on rt #544 where the "LOWES FOOD STORE" is, in that small plaza is a place called "Backyard Habitat".I know she has mealworms(last time I was there, 2 weeks ago they cost $9.00 for 500)I don't know if she sells in bulk. On the way to an Italian market in the next county we stopped at weird Pizza place. I have been sitting on a Restaurant.com coupon for this place so good time to use it. What was weird was that the menu looked good on line and it was touted as NY Style pizza and pasta, but it was a dump practically in the middle of no where. We ordered a pizza with pepperoni and anchovies. I watched the guy hand make the pizza crust, nice job. He delivered it to the table with a tin of anchovies saying that they put anchovies on the side. So, is that how it's done in NY?

I just got back for Albertson's so I have a stocked pantry but I'm not really hungry...Gotta decide what I want though..I bought Black Forest Ham so maybe a ham sandwich..

I want a spinach salad so bad I can't stand it.

Scott and I used to have lunch five days a week with my best friend and her boss, who is one of Scott's best friends.
Judy moved away a couple of years ago and I quit going to lunch with "the boys".
Scott asks me at least a couple of times a week if he can buy me lunch. I always say No. (I think I spend enough time with you during the day anyway...)
But, a restaurant that closed here a few years ago just re-opened and they have the best spinach salad EVER. So, yesterday Scott asked me if I wanted to go there for lunch. I said yes...

Then he realized Tiger Woods was making his comeback yesterday.

He asked me if he could take a rain check until today because he "had some errands" he forgot about. I said, "Like, Tiger?" Boss "Um, yeah"

So we were supposed to go out today. I've had my mouth watering over that salad for two days.

He just walked out the door to go home and ... watch golf ...

So much for my "rain check" and my salad!

I had to go to Nara's to pick up some baby possums. I swung by Taco Bell and got a beef supreme chalupa. Had to eat something, and that was quick and easy.

I ate fast food today.....had to go to the town about 25-30 miles from me to get groceries. Did a drive-thru at Burger King. I go there once every couple of years or so. Tasted so-so and I'm set for another couple of years.
